Embarkation at Long Beach

Early checkin occurs outdoors, where you then mill around waiting for boarding to begin. Eventually checkin moves indoors after the early rush. We always arrive early... ~11am and are not too bothered with waiting outside, weather is usually nice.

  • 3 weeks later...
From what I have been reading, embarkation at Long Beach is organized chaos. Is this true?

It varies sailing to sailing, oddly enough. One week you will see nice lines, the next hoards of people all pushing forward in a big clump.

Three day cruises clump up later in the day as pax want to get a half day of work in. The other cruises clump up just before boarding.

Sailed on the Miracle in October and November, three day Inspiration last week. Arrived around noon-12:30. Minimal wait. For the Inspiration there were three check in areas after the doors opened. Priority in the Little Building, Riviera deck outside, all other cabins inside. FTTF had its own line.
