MIA taxi question

Nope - and 9:30 is not late in Miami. Fare should be $25+ or you can uber for about $15+

If you are thinking about dinner, drinks, etc. after check-in then choose a downtown hotel; if you just want a room and a bed after arriving, then an airport hotel will be okay (Blue Lagoon hotels are often suggested and there is a local strip mall nearby (across the street from the Hampton Inn) for last minute items).

Have a great cruise!

Thanks we have stayed at Hampton Inn before several times

the taxi fare is usually in the $30 range

Yep. You can save a little bit using an Uber if you want. Same for heading to the port. Uber will always be cheaper than a taxi. And while I have noticed Uber service going down a bit, its still a lot nicer than a taxi down here and the cars are almost always newer, more comfortable and safer.
