CAS Comps - How soon do you get the email?

So we sailed at the end of November and got the comp email in January. Is this typical? We just got back Aug 5 from our second cruise and wondered when the email usually comes out assuming you gambled enough to get a comp? Itching to book the next one[emoji16]

I played over $2000 on my first cruise and was given a $100 credit for the children's arcade on my next cruise! What was NCL thinking?

While $2000 may be a lot of money, it really isn't that much as far as gambling goes.
I spent that much at the Horseshoe casino in Tunica, ms and got a free cruise from them on NCL! I spent less than that at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City and got a free cruise! NCL's casino is just asking for too much. IMO

I've spent nothing at Twin Rivers, and qualified for a free cruise through them (very odd, I know!). So I know, sometimes the comps don't make much sense. The casino I usually go to I qualify for 4 a year, the comp is better, but I play a lot, actually wayyyyy too much, there.

OMG! Actually I think our first comp email was a mistake on their part, when I called they said I didn't qualify for anything and couldn't find any record of it. We really didn't gamble much. I insisted that I got an email, read it to them, forwarded it to them. They were questioning if it was fake and told me to call back in 2 days. I called back and all of a sudden it was in the system. Good to go!

Comps don't have a direct correlation to how much you have spent. They are based on ADT (average daily theoretical) loss. Casinos have a very good idea of what they expect you to lose and any comps given are usually based on that amount.

If you are a rated player, call and ask for a comp on the cruise of your your choice (except Hawaii cruise where there is no casino). They will tell you what they are able to do.

I don't know if I'm a rated player, this was our second NCL cruise. I'll have to call and find out.

So when we call we just ask them to look at our account and if we qualify for anything?

Actually, you can be even more specific than that. Pick a cruise and a cabin, call them, and see what they'll do for you on that cruise. They may tell you you qualify for something less than you want, but you can take their comp offer, pay the difference and upgrade.

Be aware that comp offers vary by the popularity of the ship, the popularity of the cruise itinerary, and how well sold the ship already is.
