Wow thank you so much. have you written a cruise review? if not can you tell me how your cruise went and what was your favorite port ?

I didn't write a review of the cruise. Of the two ports PV was WAY better in my opinion. Cabo reminded me alot of Ensenada. The tendering in Cabo was TERRIBLE! We were in group 71 and it still took an hour after they called our number to board the tender. It was so bad we didn't even bother to go into town the second day.

On top of the tendering process the vendors trying to sell you stuff at the marina was awful. Literally, guys selling the exact same products/excursions 5-6 feet apart. I know they just heard me turn down the last guy for a water taxi, then the next guy asks if I want a water taxi.

We walked to Cabo Wabo, to ge there you have to walk thru the marina area which is basically a horse shoe shape. Vendors lining the walk way all the way around. If you plan on doing anything here I'd recommend doing it thru the ship or plan on being hasseled. About 1/2 way around the Marina Walk there is a little vendor market type place it's about 100 yards long and about 30 feet across, all made of tarps. About 1/2 thru I got this weird vibe and noticed we were the only ones in the place. We chose to walk along the side to get back to the marina area and I was wondering if being on the little sidewalk beside it was any safer. (had my wife and son with us).

My last bad thing to say about Cabo. :) Cabo Wabo was a nice place, but it was expensive. About $6 USD for a beer and the music was WAY to loud. By comparison, we ate at a little shop about 10 ft. from the entrance of Cabo Wabo and I got 3 beers for $5.50 USD. I wish we'd have been on the cruise where we got two days in PV instead.

In PV we were looking for something cheap to do. I'm always a little worried about doing the excursions on my own as I don't want to get left behind if something happens. So we booked the "Beach Break at Leasure". It was the cheapest excursion in PV, and what a gem it turned out to be.

It takes you on a bus ride to a restaurant called the Blue shrimp. There you get one free drink, and have access to the beach, and beach chairs. As you may have guessed I'm a bit of a cheapskate, but the prices at this place were good. $10 USD for a bucket of 5 beers served to you. If you go get the hand made guacamole for ~$8 USD it's totally worth it.

Now the best part of this excursion is, you are on the beach near the new PV pier. So you have access to all the beach vendors that are selling Parasailing, jet sking, banana boat rides etc. We parasailed at the place right next to the restaraunt for $40 USD per person. It is also within walking distance to the Sea Monkey which has $1 USD beers. You get to get back on the bus and return to the ship, having done beach excursions "on your own" but within the safety of the ship booked excursion. There are other vendors selling stuff, but they were polite and took no for an answer. Nothing like the vendors in Cabo.

Here is a video of me

. It was awesome! At the beginning of the video you can see the Pier and all the other stuff there is to do. At the end you can see the roof and blue umbrellas of the Blue Shrimp as I'm coming in. (the restaraunt has a white banner on the roof)

If we'd have had two days in PV I'd have gone back to this place the next day for sure.

ETA: Sorry the cruise was great! I can't say much more than others have said about the Miracle. I'd do this cruise again in a second, but like I said, I'd try to get the sailing with two days in PV. We lucked out and booked an interior room (on ES I think) There were orginally 4 of us booked in the interior room. We ended up gettng a "upgrade" to a 4K room, 4195 and it had the view between the life boats. My daughter ended up not going, but we didn't tell Carnival about it until we boarded the ship. We may have saved $50 on her cancellation, but it was worth it to have that room in my opinion. We did eat at the Steakhouse. It was nice, but I'm not sure I'd do it again. Service and food were great, I'm just not sure it's worth the premium over the MDR.

thank you so much for replying I got 2 days In PV and 1 day in Cabo I wasn't sure what would be much difference since I have never been there, I can relate to your concern about Ensenada, I have been there twice, its pretty interesting and on the blow hole excursion it was quite interesting. im wondering if the fun times that you have is the same as the 2 day in PV cruise.

I have been googling on things to do in PV & Cabo your parasailing video looks so fun and the price aint bad of what you paid. on the ship itself how was the food on lido & in the MDR? I went on inspiration in may and the food was awful even the taste bar. but on paradise which was my first cruise the food was great I loved it.

We were also on the 10/6 sailing on the Miracle. We loved the ship, loved our room and loved the itinerary. We had done the same itinerary on the Splendor in May 2012 so we knew that we wanted 2 days in Cabo. In fact, we loved this sailing so much that we booked it again for 10/4/2014 in the same cabin.

In Cabo, we did A Day at the Island, both years. It is advertised as a floating restaurant, but it's more like a really nice raft with drinks included and not very expensive :). Super relaxing and fun all at the same time and lunch was included. The first day, we parasailed for only $35 from one of the vendors along the marina and then walked to Cabo Wabo to buy a couple of souvenirs. The second day at Cabo, there was no wait for the tender, we walked right on. In fact, there wasn't a wait on the second day either time we went.

In PV we did the Carnival excursion, Tequila Factory & Old Towne Tour. We did it both years also. It's only $40 per person and you visit 2 factories, sample all you want and get to see a lot of PV while on the bus. It's a fun tour.

Everyone has different opinions of what is fun and what isn't. The vendors didn't annoy me, I just kept walking. If you talk to them at all, you'll be in for a long walk!

Have fun on your trip!

We were also on the 10/6 sailing on the Miracle.

Vicki I'm pretty sure we were on an elevator ride together. I recognized you from the roll call photos just as you got off the elevator. I was thinking to myself hey I know her then the door shut. I didn't see you again the whole trip. :)

You should have said hi :). My husband kept asking me if I knew everyone on the ship, wherever we were someone was saying hi! I didn't venture far from the Serenity deck, well sometimes the casino LOL, but mostly I just enjoyed the sun!

I was the op from the other thread and want to thank you. It will be my first time on the Miracle, although I was on her sister ship the pride a few years ago. What cabin did you get? We got a 4K French door.

Also, when was the past guest party?

What was the cruise director like? Fun or standoffish?

We are not gold yet (or whatever level you need), so we were not invited to the Past guest party. We did get a free drink coupon for being past guest.

We were in room 4195. It was a 4K room that sleeps 4. We were pretty excited to get the "upgrade" since we chose the option to let them assign any 4A-K room. Someone asked about the 4K rooms on the miracle a few days ago and I posted pictures an my opinon of the rooms.

Thanks!

Seems odd that the two nights in Cabo there is no listing for the piano bar. :(
