Hello everyone,

Do you have any idea how the Ocean Players Club which belong to Carnival company calculating the point? On some ships they are not giving any "Come back" incentive latter, on some they are giving free internal cabin for next 6 months sailing. Does anyone figured out how many points are qualifying the player for a cash or free cruise offer?

No idea how it works. Hopefully someone does. Just returned from a 10 day cruise. Was in the casino every day. Played both table and slots. I had almost 5000 points. Was offered $600.00 for future cruise within next 6 months. No discounted rate on a room. There were people on the cruise that were on a VIP cruise. Sat next to a couple that were part of that group. They said they didn't know how they got included because they don't gamble much. Was offered 1 free drink in 10 days. I was traveling with 3 other people. Everyone got offered something lowest was 200.

It takes 7500 points to be offered the complimentary cruise in an interior cabin- plus cash with that.

On a recent 10 day cruise, I was awarded that and my husband got $800 cash for the next cruise which we will take in April. We were offered free drinks every night and they sent chocolate covered strawberries to our room.

The casino host and staff were alll very nice. This was on the Royal Princess.

The ships do all still participate in the "bounce back" program. The rewards start at 1000 points and with each 1000 points earned you receive higher awards. On a recent cruise on the Royal, I got $400 cash for a future cruise for earning 4000 points. A (very drunk) lady was bragging on the last night of the cruise that she earned a free 7 day cruise in an inside cabin. She appeared to have around 9000 points. Things do change all the time so if you're curious, just ask a casino host about the current offers and what the threshold is for a free cruise.

By the way, our trip on the Royal was part of a VIP offer, the first time we've received such a deal. We did get a discount for the cruise and some cash. We also got free drinks in the casino, entry into multiple raffles and tourneys, periodic gifts in the cabin (champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, beach towel, etc.). I "accidentally" saw a page of the cruise VIP list and noted that many got more cash and others received a free cruise. We were definitely at the lowest level of VIP in terms of perks but that's fine with us!

How do you get points and how do you know how many you have? I like table games and usually play every day (but not a high better). They've always asked for my cruise card when I sit down but that's the end of it.

They rate you on your table play / how much you bet. I play slots and you receive 1 point for every $3 bet.

We're you able to combine the two? I got the cruise and mom got the cash offer. I did book and we are sailing in March. Wondering if she will get the casino cash.

She has to email them so they can apply the credit to her next cruise. I have had to scan the offer letter and our cruise booking and email it to them. Then she just goes to the casino cashier and they will give her the money. Last time I wasn't on their list so they had to check with the home office and gave me the money the next day. Tell her to make sure and take the offer letter with her.

Great news. I will call tomorrow to confirm. I got 10 day Oceanview but since Royal doesn't have Oceanview I got obstructed balcony (of course selected one with little obstruction).

In most "land" casinos, you will need to gamble AT LEAST $25 per hand for at least 4 hours per day to even have them track your play.

Slots are automatically done, via your card.....so that's always a "no-brainer"...but you really have to be willing to gamble a lot. They don't care if you win or lose...it's what you're willing to gamble!
