I was attacked by fellow passenger on the Destiny!

Just returned from the 5-28-09 sailing and on the ST night I had walked up

to get some pizza at about 3:30 AM for my wife and myself. While I was

waiting fro the pizza and bread to bake I had drink at the back pool bar after

about 10 - 15 min pizza was ready and I was returning to my room and I

walked up on 3 young mid 20's drunk men 1 of which was urinating on the

wall outside of my room. I will not go into many details here but lets just say

they where not happy that someone challenged them on what they were

doing and that I was going to call security on them. That is when I was

Physically assaulted, they must of thought they could scare me off before

security arrived, well they were wrong I was not going anywhere! After a few

mins they realized maybe they bit off more that they could chew they ran off

to their room which was great for me I knew just where they went. Security

finally showed up went to both rooms took statements and pictures I did end

up with a good shiner but the other guy ended getting removed from the ship

on his very 1st morning plus at least a $300.00 fine for not stopping at a

foreign port.

I have not returned home yet so I can not post any pics yet. I will as soon

as I return.

I do have more details to post on how Security treated me that I will post

later do not have the time now.

Geeez!

I'm glad you were brave enough to confront them and also glad you weren't harmed any more than you were.

This just enforces my thinking that I should not roam the halls all by my lonesome late int he evening. What if they had been confronted by a woman?

Well, I be watching for the rest of the story...

Again, glad you're ok!

I am so sorry you got attacked. Thank you for warning us. It just goes to prove to not let your guards down just because you are on vacation. The ship is just like a little city. Mostly good folks but always have that 1 or 2 that ruins it for the whole lot. That is why we set rules for our kids and have a curfew for them even while on vacations.

Sorry that happened to you and congratulations on standing up for what's right. Now I don't want everyone to take a stand and face harm but since you were ready and willing good for you. But be careful a lot of the youth have not been properly brought up by their parents and can be very dangerous. I hope the youths you faced learn from their mistakes and grow up.

Does the fact that you were on the Destiny have anything to do with the story? If you were at a hotel in a major city, the same thing could have happened?

DON

Don't know what you are talking about, what story? So the answer would be no.

Bravo for challenging them and making the rest of the voyage safer for everyone else. Hopefully, Carnival will flag their names and not allow them on any other CCL ship. Unless Donald is on that cruise, since he finds the bahavior acceptable since it could have happened and any hotel somewhere else.

I don't understand what the flame was about but I think everybody is interested in hearing the rest of your story, please continue when you get time.

Those were not 'fellow passengers' -those were animals.

Only animals urinate wherever.

Perhaps they were drunk animals?

They'd pretty much have to be drunk to be malfunctioning in that anti-social manner..

..........................

So great that you caught them, did something about it

and in the end they got kicked of the ship. Well done Carnival!

No animals allowed on board

- unless you're a guide-dog for a blind person!

They weren't animals They were trash. Another example of why Carnival needs to increase their fare.

I don't think Carnival's fare has anything to do with the boys' behavior. There are just as many ignorant well-to-do, as there are ignorant poor.

I'm sorry that happened to you and hopefully Carnival treated you well in the process.

The basics of a good news report are Who, What, When, Where, and Why.

The fact that it happened on Destiny is part of the whole report. It certainly won't affect my selecting the ship for a future cruise if the opportunity comes up.

the worst behaved passengers were ever saw were on Princess. It doesn't have to do with the fare, it has to do with the individual. I shouldn't have to pay more for my vacation so scum can't afford to take one.

I'm glad that you are ok and that you stood up to them. And kudos to Carnival for kicking them off. I agree, these were animals not fellow passengers. Waiting for more details. Also, that flame was totally uncalled for.

So please don't tell me that the only folks who can afford to cruise with these "lower" fares are "trash". My wife and I NEVER would have been introduced to cruising had it not been for these "LOWER" fares that seem to attract all this "TRASH".

Frankly, I am appalled that you or anyone could even make a statement along those lines. If you think that it is because of the low fares, by all means, you are more than welcome to go cruise another line at a 200% difference..........

Agree, agree, agree!! Especially about the Kudos to CCL for kicking them off. You certainly cannot control 'who' books on your ship, but you sure as hell can make sure that if someone shouldn't be on there that they get tossed off.

Oh, no, no! Money and class are two different things. They don't hand out dignity and decency with a big paycheque!
