These are the deck 8 front cabins.

You should speak to your travel agent or whoever you booked with. You might be able to pay a little extra and get a GD grade guarantee cabin which is near the back of the ship deck 10 and up. If you can get a GD grade say no to any upgrades. We have had GD grade balcony cabins 5 times on Iona. Graham.

I absolutely agree. I would report smoking on the balcony too. Who can remember the fire on Star Princess in March 2006 caused by a cigarette butt thrown from a balcony. Smoking is controlled in certain areas of a ship only for all of our safety.

Unfortunately it is the medical issues that bump up the insurance price considerably and you need a specialist Medical insurance company for your travel insurance. A good friend has just had a dementia diagnosis and given medication and when they told the insurance company the company cancelled their policy.

As non smokers we never go to deck 18 on Iona but the smoking is outdoors. We never use the casino but while walking around the ship on Princess and Royal Caribbean the cigarette smoke is overpowering walking through the casino and the smoke smell spreads out from the casino when doors are opened.
