  1. When we were young we thought we were invincible and didn’t take any insurance. We just got reimbursed for medical stuff after we got home. Now that we are older we take the insurance
  2. I believe it depends on how many ships are in. Last October there were 2 ships boarding and they used 2 upstairs conference rooms and had kiosks. This month we were the only ship and it was downstairs. We actually had to ask at guest services at the hotel to find out
  3. When we checked in to the hotel. This was a quote from guest services
  4. With one ship in port earlier this month check in was downstairs and there were no customs kiosks you saw an actual officer. We checked in just before 2 I believe and total check in time was about 15 minutes
  5. We are still getting free play around $250-$400 and free cabins but that is less than we were getting a year ago
  6. I fail to see what any of this post has to do with an 18 year old. I do believe the can go to all the lounges for music and hang out with other young people. There are always some people in her age range
  7. Now that Canadians can have medallions shipped the blue land should be much shorter
  8. Why can’t she smoke cigarettes ? I have never seen anyone carded for smoking. She cant buy alcohol but if you have some in your cabin it would be up to you if she drinks it or not
  9. It depends on the time of year. If you are traveling during the Alaskan season it will be very high. April not so bad
  10. We usually give a $20 tip. They will tell you to tip st least $3-$5 per bag
  11. We just boarded in Vancouver about 10 days ago. We had a meal on shore and went to check in around 2:00. Very short line check in and customs took no more than 30 minutes. We have found that boarding later avoids all the crazy crowds who just have to be the first group on board
  12. That may be the case now but when we started cruising in the 1990’s there was no option. Everything was TD and there were no 2 tops for dinner. You chose the size of table and early or late sitting. If I remember right the choice was 6 or 8 tables
  13. I live in Portland Oregon and I have not owned a tie since I retired. Most of the weddings here are casual affairs after outside in Nature
  14. No that is the one and only ship I avoid if at all possible
  15. My dress does not change during formal night. Nice pants and button down shirt. I am done with carrying around a sports coat and I do not own a tie anymore
