  1. You might be able to get some info from the the lick below. It is the Edge Class Cabin Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bFHV6Ax0FmbzTqHb1e6eCeLpGe9SEBZPJeJ4K472toY/edit#gid=0
  2. Great you got to Ephesus! One of the places we were fortunate to visit a pre-covid, and as a Catholic, will never forget!!!!
  3. Thanks for the update. We sail Apex January 6th and glad to hear there is "possibly a bright dining light at the end of this very long tunnel".
  4. We were on the Oasis in July. Double capacity is 5400. We were at almost full with almost 6800. Room service once a day was the least of our issues!!!!!!
  5. My Husband and I moved on with Royal pre-covid.The only reason we took this past July Oasis cruise was to join our Daughter's Family. Love spending time with Grandchildren. So based on that experience, every once and a while I look at the RCI posts to see what's going on. Next 2 cruises are booked with Celebrity (Elite+status with them) and 2 after that with Oceania.
  6. Wish I had the same opportunity. When I received the survey for this past July's Oasis sailing, I had a dentist appointment in 30 minutes so I figured I would just reply later in the day. When I got back on line to access the Survey....it was gone. Needless to say, I was very disappointed since my entire feedback was going to be negative!!!! P.S. We are Diamond with Royal but, of course, many will fell free to demean this reply.
  7. It sure has!!!!! Based on our July sailing on the Oasis, both the quality and preparation of the food was below sub-par. As for the Windjammer, not only was the quality and prep sub-par, the clealiness of the eating areas was non-existant. It got worse when we spent over $50pp for Chops and three of the eight of us couldn't even get our steaks cooked "medium". Mine was still "blood red" when it was served.
  8. As someone who hasn't been to Coney Island for over for over 50 years, I got the same impression when we docked there this past July. Walked as far as the end of the peir and decided we'd be much happier staying on an almost empty ship.
  9. No matter what they are, I would have told the waiter to immediately remove the entire plate!!! This reminds me of the food we received at a summer sleep-away camp over 60 years ago. I also wouldn't eat it then was well!!! 😝
  10. In addition to a horrible buffet and layout, the Windjammer was "filthy" on our late June sailing!! My husband and I had finally located an empty corner table for lunch. While he was getting his food, I tried to look out the "filthy" window to no avail. Things got worse when I looked down at the windowsill which beyond filthy.....dried caked on food and stains everywhere. I stopped a ship's Officer who was passing by and showed it to him. Needless to say, he was upset, apologetic, and asked what he could do. Told him nothing and chose never to eat there for the rest of the cruise.
  11. Unless you were on our sailing, how would you know the assessment was incorrect? Pretty sure the Captain wouldn't have announced the number if it wasn't!!! As for irrelevant, it certainly was relevant. In addition, the list of dirty/filthy areas on the ship, especially the Windjammer was appauling!!!
  12. And you don't think it takes more time to clean a room with 3 or 4 occupants as opposed to 2. That's more beds to make, especially if the bed linens need to be changed. More time cleaning the bathroom based on the condition it's left in, more towels to replace, etc, etc, etc.
  13. In my opinion it is a big deal, if you come back from lunch and your room still isn't made up. This was our experience on the Oasis that past July and don't blame the room steward at all but do blame RCI Management for filling the ship with 6800 passengers when double is occupancy is 5400. Higher Ups most likely never considered this could be a potential issue since the crew numbers were cut back staff and there is just so much one person can accomplish daily.
  14. I will begin by saying we have Diamond status with RCI. Based on our most recent and, as a result, definitely last RCI experience this past July on the Oasis, RCI is definitely not worth that much more!!!!!!!
  15. I agree 100%. Our first Celebrity cruise was on the Horizon to Bermuda in 1992. No Balconies, no "over the top Amenities"!!!! Just service & food that was always fantastic (Crepes Suzettes and Banasters Foster made tableside by the Maitre'd) . When formal meant formal for both both Guests & Staff which made the vacation experience very special as opposed to a land trip. Plus dinners were always leisurely with plenty of time to make it to the evenings great entertainment.....because the ships weren't oversold!!! Our upcoming January Apex cruise will determine if we will continue booking with Celebrity. Elite+ status is no longer the incentive!!!!!
  16. Based on all your very informative comments, I'm concerned that our upcoming January Apex sailing might definitely not be the same fantastic Celebrity experiences that got us to Elite+ status and, as a result, might very well be our last Celebrity experience!!
  17. This reply is based on standing on our port side balcony in the evening while sailing out of Catania and.......watching Mt. Etna erupt while we were were leaving!!!!
  18. Thanks for again for your reply. Just re-verifying Honduras and Belize do fall under the closed loop cruise rule!! Also assuming since my passport doesn't expire until 180 days after we disembark all is good.
  19. Thank you!! For future reference, can I access the "closed loop cruise rule" just be googling??
  20. My passport expires exactly 180 days from the day we disemabrk a week long Janauary Apex sailing. Is this going to be a boarding issue???
  21. I've said this before on other posts regarding passengers who "try to work the system" no matter what the issue......"we are so far into the twighlight zone, there is no way out"!!!
  22. If you're hoping you can order as many drinks as you want so you're friend doesn't have to pay for any, I surely hope this isn't the case for those of us who have infested lots of money in Celebrity to earn these benefits !!!! P.S. My husband and I have also infested lots of money with RCI to earn our Diamond staus as well!!!
  23. Free DINING Restaurants on Wonder of the Seas The Main Dining Room: Located on Decks 3, 4 and 5, this three-story venue serves up breakfast, dinner, and lunch on sea days. Menus change daily, and cruisers can select whether they would like early, late, or anytime dinner seating options. This is where all the standard cruise staples -- escargot, shrimp cocktail, steak and lobster on select nights -- can be found. The room, however, is on the cramped side despite its size; expect to be sitting very close to your fellow diners. The Windjammer: Situated on Deck 15 aft, this casual buffet dining venue wraps attractively around the ship's pool deck and offers views of the ocean and the interior space carved out by the Boardwalk area. An attractive entryway includes casual seating options, couches to wait for your party on, and plenty of handwashing stations. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night bites, the variety of foods here is the venue's best feature, from North American classics to regional flavors from around the world. Don’t miss the amazing cheese selection when you're shopping around for desserts; it is located near the entrance and quickly became the talk of the ship. Solarium Bistro: Billed as a more intimate casual dining option, the Solarium Bistro is located on Deck 15 forward overlooking -- you guessed it -- the ship's Solarium. While Royal Caribbean says it offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes in a buffet setting, it's actually more American in practice, and a nice change of pace from the cavernous Windjammer. Boardwalk Dog House: Get your hot dog fix at the Boardwalk Dog House located on Deck 6 aft in the outdoor Boardwalk area. Café Promenade: One of Wonder of the Seas' most popular spots, the Café Promenade on Deck 5 midship is open 24-hours a day and serves up coffee, pastries, sandwiches and snacks. Sorrento's: It's all about pizza at this casual eatery located along the Royal Promenade on Deck 5. The pizza is quite good, too, with a menu of standard favorites alongside more creative options. Park Café: Our favorite (and winner for most underrated complimentary dining venue on the ship), the Park Café is situated on Deck 8 in the ship's Central Park area. Deli favorites are on offer here, along with breakfast sandwiches and other items that can be enjoyed right there or as grab-and-go options. Vitality Café: Another great hidden complimentary dining venue, the Vitality Café is nestled in the entrance to the ship's Spa on Deck 6 forward. For those looking for healthier eats, this is the place to be. The café also draws up some amazing fruit and veggie smoothies, though these do come at an extra cost -- but are included if you have the beverage package. El Loco Fresh: Mexican eats are the order of the day at this great venue located aft on Deck 16 on the starboard side of the vessel. Burritos and tacos are made to order, and the adjacent bar makes the best Margarita we've had onboard -- though that comes at an extra cost.
