  1. OK then, I have time for a shower and freshen up before we sail.
  2. Onboard and all cases safely delivered and unpacked, loyalty embarkation lunch was fine, and we also have an invite to the usual Baltic and Ligurian lunch, so things slowly returning to normal. So far no real problems with the current new paperwork needed, however we did have a minor issue with the passport numbers not matching, but we were quickly moved from the wheelchair check in to another priority one, and lo and behold that terminal was displaying the correct numbers. P&O really do need to sort out their IT issues. Very few masks worn on embarkation and no requests were made to don one, although staff are still wearing masks. Evening turn down still not yet reinstated, but I guess we will cope. We might try to use the My Holiday app to book an MDR table tonight, or then again might just turn up as before and see how well that works. Its 4:30pm and still docked so will have to see whether they are back to a late afternoon sail awa, or not.
  3. I wobder if P&O might be looking for talented passengers to do the entertainment on the first couple of cruises?🤔😇
  4. I suspect you can only specify a cabin grade, which might of course have many different locations.
  5. I agree, very happy with how our testing went, and fit to fly certificates now printed along with all the other paraphernalia we now need. Maybe we will run into you on board.
  6. We moved into an apartment 12 months ago and now only have a designated parking space, whereas our cars had previously been garaged for 56 years. However one strange thing I have noticed about garaging the car outside is that I no longer need to wash it, I have only had to wash the front alloys once in 12 months, and the odd bit of bird poo needing to be rinsed off, quite amazing really.
  7. I think the return I have been getting on my £1860 investment has been way higher than anything I could have achieved elsewhere, of course if Carnival does fail, then the capital loss will reduce that benefit, but we will have had dozens of enjoyable cruises.
  8. Not if you take a FCC or move to another cruise, that certainly applied to us when we moved a fully paid Feb cruise in early Jan.
  9. They said that when there were 6 ships in port on the current cruise, but only 3 planned for ours, so that story won't wash now.
  10. Similar price for us, but I wrote the purchase price off immediately, however I reckon in OBC and dividends they dont owe me anything anyway.
  11. I would guess that's an interpretation of morning arrival and early evening departure, which is what my booking summary says.
  12. I just assumed that the missing times was because P&O never seem to publish their arrival and departure times, simply saying something like early morning and late afternoon.
  13. My understanding is that the change has to be done before the end of 2022, but it applies to any bookings, and it is still possible that P&O could extend the protocol beyond 2022 if things are still uncertain.
  14. I did not think you needed a reason to change under the covid protocols, P&O advertise that you can move your booking as often as you want.
  15. It's about time as well, if P&O want to attract young families then a kids water park is essential. We went on RCIs Independence with our son and family and his 2 boys loved their water zone, I just hope Carnival are willing to spend big on the current fleet to retrofit something similar to all the family ships.
  16. You will never want to return to a manual gear change after sampling the delightful ease of an automatic.
  17. I hope that does not leave Britannia under manned for our cruise this Sunday!!!
  18. I jhave ust received an e-mail from P&O advising us that our health declaration, for our Sunday cruise, is ready to be completed. But in true P&O IT fashion, I completed them both this morning and have already had the safe to travel confirmation e-mails.😗😊
  19. I thought that was still possible, we certainly moved a fully paid cruise earlier this year, and in fact our TA managed to have the credit applied to an existing cruise, although I guess that was a special deal.
  20. Thanks for that info. as long as the inclines not too steep or too long I should be able to manage , if not I can always take a taxi back to the ship.
  21. I assume you are now being chauffeured by your wife then, a bit like the Lincoln lawyer.
  22. Where did it drop you off wowzz, is it at the old town harbour, and is the area wheelchair friendly?
  23. OK, I did check the Sport24 schedules and the Greman GP is listed for the 19th June so it should be, satellite reception permitting.
