  1. I have been patiently waiting for the app to show my correct status. I have called multiple times and even emailed. They all tell me that they can see my correct status even though it isn't shown on the app and not to worry. Well I sail in a little over a week. Do I need to purchase the wifi prior to the cruise to get the discount or will it be higher once on board? I usually have it included in a package so never worried about it on prior cruises. Also, if I purchase the package for 4 devices, I can share that with my husband can't I?
  2. I submitted my passport for renewal and application was received on November 1. I received the renewed passport around December 16. I wondered why I had not received an email telling me it was being mailed and then I received an email on December 24 saying I should receive it by December 20, I still have not received my old passport back.
  3. I just logged into AMEX to do on-line chat and it no longer shows the offer as being loaded into my account but shows that it was used on December 14. I will wait a few days more before I contact them as they may be in the process of posting it. When I checked yesterday, it showed the offer had not been used yet.
  4. @mcrcruiser I have this offer on 3 cards and it was time for final payment on one of my cruises. I charged $1000 on each card and immediately received the $300 credit on 2 of the cards. The third card, it has not been applied. Did you have to do anything to get them to apply the credit? Since this is an account that I don't normally use, I would really like for it to post before payment is due. In the past, it has never taken more than a day or two for it to post.

  6. I am trying to purchase AARP gift cards this morning to make final payment on my cruise which is due in a few days. It just keeps spinning and won't go to checkout. I hope they aren't going to start having problems like they did in September!
  7. If you are on a ship with Sky Suites, book one of those and the reservations will be taken care of for you.
  8. We are doing this reverse itinerary in March. What TBL guide did you use in Lima? We have booked with TBL on our second day going to the ruins outside the city but have nothing booked for the first day and trying to decide what to do and which guide to use. We are using Alfredo for the second day but he is already booked for the first day. Thank you posting all of this. It really gives us an idea on what to expect.
  9. Update. I did on-line chat with HAL. They found his approval email and added the Military OBC onto our booking.
  10. He had been verified through the new system back in October 2022. We booked a cruise for January 2024 but the Military Credit didn't show up. I researched and at that time it looked like it didn't apply to 2024. We cancelled the January 2024 cruise to book this Alaska cruise and we have exactly the same OBC for each of us so I don't think he got it for this cruise either. When I look at his account on-line it says he has $100 OBC available to sail by January 1, 2024 and I assume that is the Military OBC. I tried the verification process again just now and it said it had already been verified. I am the same on our bookings and keep a spreadsheet of how much we pay, when the deposit was made and final payment date as well as OBC and the source of it all. I had already asked my TA if she could tell me exactly what the OBC was for but haven't heard back.
  11. How do you get the Military Credit added? My husband has been verified but it doesn't look like it was added. Is there something special that my TA needs to do?
  12. I spent an hour on the phone this morning trying to get mine fixed. First Medallion person I talked to had no clue about why I cared. I explained that I had called 10 days ago and they created a ticket and nothing changed. I finally ended that call and then called the regular Princess line and waited on hold forever. I told her what I wanted and she checked with Guest Services to see if they could help but they said I needed to talk to the Medallion Folks. She gave me a direct number but transferred me. I think I was talking to the same person that I talked to 10 days ago in the Philippines. She told me no worries, that I was Platinum but the app showed blue but that it was ok. I told her that a ticket was submitted 10 days ago and after checking some more stuff she said she was submitting a ticket and it would be fixed in 3-5 days. I asked her about the other ticket and she said she was attaching her info onto the original ticket. I then hung up and did on-line chat for 40 minutes. At the end of the chat I was told there was glitch in the system and to keep checking and I could chat with them again tomorrow. Really??? When I am logged into my cruise planner and try to go to the web part of the Medallion, it says my booking is already taken. I can't get to the web portion if I am logged into my Princess account, but can log into the web portion if I am not first logged into my Princess account. I give up. I doubt they will fix anything for me.
  13. I called to get mine fixed also. They told me it would take 4-5 days to fix. It has now been a week and a half. I guess another phone call is in order.
  14. I just tried to purchase OBC for my upcoming cruise using gift cards as payment method and that option wasn't available for me. I thought I had seen it earlier. I know when I was on board in October, I had no problem giving the gift cards to Guest Services and have them apply them. I guess that is what I will do again.
  15. Yes, Royal Caribbean does require reservations for some of their shows. It has been awhile since I have sailed on them so don’t remember which ones.
  16. There are always people standing there waiting for the seats to be released. Once the ropes are dropped, the seats are filled up. In my opinion, the seats aren’t the best, it is just nice to know they are there without having to go early. The cruises that I have been in a suite with this benefit, they reserved the middle of the front of the balcony.
  17. This could be the case. I just went back and looked at my old statements. My statement from the Eurodam in 2018, it clearly says "Promo Credits, Not Valid for Casino or Cash" , but the casino charges were deducted from those funds. The statement from the Nieuw Statendam said the same thing, but the casino charges were not deducted from those funds, so it could be a difference in ships or maybe new accounting after starting back up. We also cruised on the Eurodam last December, but that statement has been wiped clean so I can't see how casino charges were handled on that cruise.
  18. Royal Caribbean has a roped off section of seats reserved for Suite passengers. About 5 minutes before the show, the seats are released to others. Maybe Princess will handle it like that.
  19. I have had OBC in the past that said not to be used in casino, but that OBC did cover casino charges. I was confused by it and asked Guest Services about it and they said everything was covered. Fast forward to this past August on the Nieuw Statendam, when I played at the casino, my OBC did not cover those charges. I had a large amount of OBC and had a hard time spending it all but after several specialty restaurants and several trips to the gift shop we were able to use it. We ended up purchasing HAL gift cards through AARP and turned them in at Guest Services to cover our casino charges, so at least we saved a little doing it that way.

  21. The cruise still appears to have lots of availability. When I asked the players club about free play, they said I wasn’t eligible for free play since I booked a “Sail & Play” fare, but got OBC instead. I thought maybe that was why I couldn’t bid to upgrade.
  22. I just booked a "Sail and Play" offer for next month. Cruise is paid in full. When I try to bid to upgrade, it says This reservation is not eligible for Princess Upgrade at this time. Is there a chance I will be able to bid to upgrade later?
  23. I called and talked to the OCEAN Medallion people in the Philippines and they were unable to fix it so filled out a ticket to escalate it. They said to give it 4-5 days for it to be fixed. I still have time so I guess I will check it again next weekend to see if there is any progress. I did see on the Captain's Circle Benefits page, it said if purchased pre-cruise, the discount would be received as OBC. I don't mind it working that way, I just don't want to have to fight for it once on board. I usually have the package that includes it, but decided against purchasing this time.
  24. I am seeing the same prices for my upcoming 7 day cruise. I am Platinum so how do I get the discount? When I go in to pay, it looks like it wants to charge me the full price. Thank you.
