  1. Where can you see to purchase the internet pre-cruise? I can't find it anywhere. Never mind. Just found it and I have been looking for days!
  2. Mine posted as "Charitable and Social Service Organizations"
  3. I need to correct my earlier post. They did post my negative review. At the time I submitted the reviews, they just emailed me and told me my review was posted. I just now went to the Holland America website and searched excursions and both my reviews were there. I was interested to see that the negative review I submitted, had many other negative reviews. https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/shore-excursions.html
  4. I was asked to submit reviews for my 2 tours I took in August. One was a positive review and the other was negative. They posted the positive review but not the negative review. I am not sure how good the reviews are that are posted on their website after this.
  5. I am only aware of Princess and HAL. Not sure about the other lines.
  6. You can purchase OBC on-line and pay with a gift card.
  7. Princess has the Military OBC. I am not sure about Healthcare worker. For the Military credit, once you are verified, it automatically shows up on your bookings without having to do any further work on your part.
  8. No, we didn't. April asked us if we wanted to, but we decided against it.
  9. We were in the Sky Suite October 8-15. April contacted us the night before through WhatsApp and also the morning of embarkation. April is great and will take good care of you. We were celebrating our anniversary on board and it was done with the balcony dinner. They did a great job with everything.
  10. When I cruised in August, I had HAL gift cards purchased from AARP. I had not printed them out but had them on my apple wallet where they could see the numbers. They looked at my apple wallet and input all the numbers and had paperwork for me to sign. They then wanted me to email a screen shot of the gift cards to them. It took a while but it got done. Fast forward to this month, I was on Princess and had Princess gift cards purchased from AARP. When I showed it to them, they told me to email them a screen shot. Nothing to sign and it was posted to my account in a matter of minutes. Not really sure why HAL makes it so difficult.
  11. Does this have to be submitted before booking each cruise or is it being handled like Princess and once verified it is on your account and you no longer have to submit paperwork?
  12. I was in an aft wrap around Neptune Suite on the Eurodam years ago and there was an adjoining door with the veranda cabin facing the side of the ship. Not great, but if it was the only Neptune cabin available, I would take it. In my earlier days of cruising I booked an SC Guarantee because that was all that was available. We ended up in an SA across the hall from the Neptune Lounge.
  13. Don't even get me started on that. I like to have salads and went to the salad station. They had a list of salads you could order or you could go down the line and tell them what you wanted on your salad. I decided to order one off the list -- easy enough. No, not really. I ordered a Chop Chop and NOT ONE person knew what it was or how to make it. I finally refused to go through it again and sent my husband and he went through the same thing. One night while dining, Pedro, I don't know his title but he was over all the dining on the ship, stopped to talk to us. We told him the story about the salad. I told him if they didn't know how to make them to take the list down. He said he would rather train them. Seemed pretty late by then. It was towards the end of our 24 day cruise. He said that people were having to work in areas they weren't familiar with and he would talk to them. I have no idea if I was on the ship today and ordered a Chop Chop salad if they would know what I was talking about.
  14. Last month when we were on the Nieuw Statendam, we asked for Bread Pudding where they served the ice cream. They looked at us like they had no idea what we were even talking about. As we were walking off, another passenger pointed us to the other side where they served the bread and that was where it was behind the counter.
  15. I am on Nieuw Statendam now. Club Orange opens at 5:00 pm and does fill up quickly. We have found if we wait until 6:30 or 7:00 there is no wait. They do fill up in the mornings for breakfast and open up Rudi’s to supplement it.
  16. Several years ago I booked a guarantee Signature Suite because that was the only thing available at the time. When my assignment was made, it was an accessible cabin. I contacted my TA to see if they could change us so she contacted HAL and we were able to get another cabin.
  17. When I answer the questions on CVS site, it says that the test will cost so I don't go any further. Does it tell you that also and then you put in your Medicare information and Medicare pays for it?
  18. I noticed that the FAQ says that Elite Package has unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. Is this just something that they failed to change or is this the way it is now for this package only?
  19. Keep your eye on the prices. They may come down, but from when we booked ours a few weeks ago it has done nothing but go up. These flights are being snatched up pretty quickly. On our flight, the front part of Business Class was almost full when we booked.
  20. I booked my flight on flight ease to Buenos Aires from DFW for March 2023 with American Airlines in business class. We paid about $1600 and if we had booked direct through AA website, it would have been about $2400. We have friends that are also going on this cruise and live in San Antonio. They booked direct through AA and fly to DFW and are on our flight. They paid $1300 for Business Class. I just looked at what their flight would cost to book today and it is $9800! Prices are all over the place.
