We eventually received both ours by email (I did chase up on another popular social media site using messenger ,just to give them a nudge) seemed to help

A couple of weeks ago that area was never busy That was our experience We waked through a few times and only once saw more than 4 people in pool I would imagine for a colder climate cruise it would be much busier It is a nice big space.

Le Voyage Eden Le Petit Chef Raw on 5 Fine Cut Steakhouse Rooftop Grill This is our order of how we would rate service and quality of food from our recent experience on Beyond (Obviously subjective) When we next sail on Beyond (11 nights) we will be visiting all 6 of them again, with Eden multiple times For us Le Voyage is top quality all round and the food was exquisite, deserving of Michelin star ⭐️ status. Truly a wonderful experience . Bon Appetite! $$$ But worth it YMMV Happy Days!

I will check in two weeks for you and see if they need insurance as well to cover the expensive items that would need to be stored in a safe deposit box. I think in the 1950’s and 60’s it might have been an option We normally put our Cartier and Hublot watches in the common room safe But might be a good idea to secure at GS in the future 😉

So we had our card entered in before cruise On day 2 we had x2 $250 charges on our credit card (Bank alert) The system assumes the card entered is not shared and bills each person in cabin It will come up as an MSC Switzerland charge (pending) This causes a lot of North Americans to receive Fraud alerts and cards being locked (Bloody nightmare at sea with no cell service to resolve) let YC director know this is putting off a lot of customers So in a nutshell , what is entered pre cruise is a waste of time If you do it on ship as explained to us by the YC Director there would only be x1 $250 hold (pending) per cabin if card is linked to all occupants we never registered our card all cruise, we were never tracked down or even asked to register However we did let the YC director know that $250 is a bit steep we returned 8 days ago and the x2 $250 pending are still showing on our account And to clarify our onboard account spend was $0.00 probably why they didn’t come looking for us, but the Holds still remain our previous MSC cruise we had holds that took 30 days to drop off There is a dedicated card terminal at concierge in YC YMMV

Forgot to mention You also get the free photo for being Diamond They say only if taken whilst in a restaurant. We didn’t have any taken whilst eating, so they sat us at a bar took a few pics and within 2hrs we got our free photo Not sure on the policy or ruling on why they did it this way, we got a free photo regardless Another one of those don’t ask won’t get scenarios

Last week we asked our butler on meeting them on day one we had it delivered to room on day two We got a 70cl e Tanqueray Gin For our previous two YC MSC cruises we were contacted 8 days before sailing and made our selection then It’s a YC perk, not a Diamond perk, apologies for any confusion I get the feeling, if not asked for one will probably not receive as won’t be prompted to choose A bit like daily newspaper delivery, the daily rag of your choice - another YC perk

The straw roofed huts are the shops and bars, it really has that Tiki Vibe 🏝 Most walkways are decking over rivers and pools and ponds

We made no reservations for anything All we did was make sure we got off early and made our way to the poolside beach beds as soon as we could As you look at the port, head to the left, passing Sanmangu restaurant passing all the shops on way to pool it is a nice walk, it’s like walking through a 5 star resort all decked out with water features everywhere you look I do not recall any trams, but it was less than 1/2mile to pool area 5-7 min walk Sanmangu restaurant is huge and we just walked straight on in Check out their website, easy google look up 😉 we watched a few YouTube videos on Taino Bay and learnt about the pool and restaurant The pool area has a swim up bar and a land bar and it wasn’t crazy busy or loud, more tranquil and peaceful

Yes indeed Before anyone says nothing is free The day beds are free, all they ask is you order one drink. 2 Coronas were $7 They really laid it out nice one of the better ones we have been too 👍🏻

What week is it as I may have to book this seeing as it goes to Taino Bay All cool, found dates for April 2024 that work for us 😎

Adventure 👍🏻 Taino Bay Puerto Plata would be the winner on this all included resort at port with day beds and pool You can eat at a really cool restaurant with excellent local delicacies (Sanmangu) Just a really nice different port from the normal RC stops. We visited whilst on MSC and would go again regardless of Cruise line Happy Days!
