  1. I'm still confused as to why people are all on about "formal wear" when X doesn't even do formal nights any longer.
  2. Unless things have changed, Celebrity doesn't even have "formal night". It's Evening Chic which has a broad interpretation.
  3. THIS. I just lump it all in and don't worry myself doing math to make sure I'm "getting my money's worth". I'd rather just have the peace of mind to get a drink when I want it and not worry about a budget for the drinks.
  4. Had you ordered those? Or were they a gift from your TA? Or how did 2 bottles just show up?
  5. Not advertised at all. I've looked multiple times at the ones on Equinox and it says nothing about alcohol included.
  6. So they *are* available for drop off - just not to stay in. To me, "not available" means you can't go into the stateroom hallways at all until they are cleared.
  7. The only ones that drive me crazy are the ones who intentionally book a flight earlier than the cruiseline says to and then try to demand special skip to the front of the line treatment. Sorry. You chose to be stupid and not listen to what the safest earliest time is. That's not my fault. (I feel the same when people intentionally get to the airport late and then want to skip up to the front of the security line. You made your choices. It's not my fault they were bad ones.)
  8. Gotcha. Thanks. Never heard of that. Just the by the glass sommelier's bin that DCL does.
  9. Do you mean the random glass of a category - red, white, sparkling - from a bottle that's been opened already for a fixed price and you get what you get? I don't know if X does it. I know Disney does and calls it the sommelier's bin.
  10. Oh, sorry! I need more coffee this morning! So sorry!!
  11. It says the half only accommodates 2 max. So if you have 4 you'd need the full cabana. Usually they have shown up in advance - but I'm not sure what section they are under.
  12. And that is not even traditional for everyone - even in America.
  13. In Feb 2020, I was on the Edge and Captain Kate made a day before call to skip Costa Maya due to a bus driver (and maybe taxi drivers too?) strike that was causing unrest. The Reflection had docked the day before we were scheduled to and there was so much disruption reported she made the call to head to Cozumel that evening so we were docked overnight. I agree with checking with the tour operator if the no refund applies even if the ship cannot dock - that is no fault of your own, and I'd steer clear of any operator who would hold you responsible for that and not refund your money.
  14. I'd imagine you could also bring a couple of bottles of non-alcoholic wine each with you when you board just to ensure there is something she knows she likes - and in case of supply chain issues you'd know you have at least 4 bottles.
  15. Perfect example. I have hip issues from a childhood injury - I can walk on flat surfaces fine and would appear "clearly" healthy there, but when it is acting up, if I'm doing stairs it is painful and obvious. But not on stairs? You'd never know to watch me walk.
  16. Just as a reminder, not all disabilities or things that cause issues with stairs are visible and require something like walkers, canes, or chairs. You can't tell just by looking at someone that they are "clearly fit and well".
  17. So just stay home and isolated. We all have to make choices and decisions. All of life is a risk - you can get hit by a runaway car while you're walking down the sidewalk, or you can do everything right health-wise and still end up with cancer. Each person can decide what they are comfortable with in all situations. If someone is so freaked out that even removing their mask to eat or drink is an issue, cruising is not for them right now. If ever. Unless they're renting a private yacht where they supply the crew from people they know are 100% virus free. Then cruising would be ok I guess.
  18. When I was on Edge, in the upper area of Eden there were some big round comfy lounge things - perfect for curling up with a book and reading. And far enough away from most of the action I was never bothered by things going on in the lower section.
  19. So you protect yourself from the virus but you'll dehydrate and starve? I'm not anti-mask...just trying to understand how you're supposed to exist without eating or drinking.
  20. Seems we have a Musk shill... Or maybe Musk himself? LOL.
