  1. Perfect example. I have hip issues from a childhood injury - I can walk on flat surfaces fine and would appear "clearly" healthy there, but when it is acting up, if I'm doing stairs it is painful and obvious. But not on stairs? You'd never know to watch me walk.
  2. Just as a reminder, not all disabilities or things that cause issues with stairs are visible and require something like walkers, canes, or chairs. You can't tell just by looking at someone that they are "clearly fit and well".
  3. So just stay home and isolated. We all have to make choices and decisions. All of life is a risk - you can get hit by a runaway car while you're walking down the sidewalk, or you can do everything right health-wise and still end up with cancer. Each person can decide what they are comfortable with in all situations. If someone is so freaked out that even removing their mask to eat or drink is an issue, cruising is not for them right now. If ever. Unless they're renting a private yacht where they supply the crew from people they know are 100% virus free. Then cruising would be ok I guess.
  4. When I was on Edge, in the upper area of Eden there were some big round comfy lounge things - perfect for curling up with a book and reading. And far enough away from most of the action I was never bothered by things going on in the lower section.
  5. So you protect yourself from the virus but you'll dehydrate and starve? I'm not anti-mask...just trying to understand how you're supposed to exist without eating or drinking.
  6. Seems we have a Musk shill... Or maybe Musk himself? LOL.
  7. I don't find it fun or relaxing to get so drunk I don't have a clue where I'm supposed to go. I don't mind drinking a bit, but not to the point of "Where am I?" or going to the wrong room/not knowing what deck to get off on. Maybe that's just me though.
  8. I didn't do anything on Celebrity because it doesn't seem like that kind of line. And I'm an adult capable of remembering where my room is, so I don't have to have anything to help me find it. I don't mind a magnet or two if people insist, but the full out door thing like a lot do on Disney (I love Disney, but the doors get ridiculous) where it feels like people still think they're in college and need to have decorations on everything? Just, no.
  9. Yeah, you can't make reservations once on board. But you can before the cruise using your planner. And it's not a "pain in the butt" - unless maybe you're trying to make them for a popular time too close to the cruise when people have already made theirs.
  10. Very curious about what they mean by that. Anytime is an option just like Early or Late - they just click the box. No more of a pain in the butt than booking the cruise. As far as making reservations, I've had no issues doing that. Yes, it used to be that you had to do a day, check out; do a day, check out; and so forth - so a little time consuming, but not horrible. Lately, though, I've been able to go in and book all the days before checking out so it's a lot easier.
  11. It depends on where the casino is located and how you get to the dining room. When I was on the Westerdam, our group was on the lower level of the dining room and the easiest way to get there from where we usually hung out before dinner without going up and down stairs or an elevator was to walk through it. Even when it wasn't open, the stench remained. Also when I've been on RCCL ships with a smoking section in the casino, the smoke stench drifts out. The owner of the travel agency I use was recently on the Norwegian Prima and they actually did what should have been the procedure from the start - the smoking area is in its own CLOSED room so that the stench remains in there.
  12. Which is why you really should bring your own if you're going to pay money to go on a vacation that you know will make you sick. (I don't get it. I LOVE cruising, but if it made me sick, I'd find other vacation options rather than put chemicals into my body just so I could cruise. I'm clearly weird in that though given the number of people who know they get seasick and cruise anyway.)
  13. Oh. Sorry. I thought it was a Captain's Club card they were talking about since this is about the Captain's Club Power Up Points.
  14. It's pretty simple... Some people like IVs, some people don't like them. Very few seem to be indifferent - even if they never tried them. No one is convincing anyone to switch sides just from "discussing". If you don't want to sail in an IV, book a different category on ships that have them OR book on ships without them. If you like them, book them. Clearly they are getting good enough feedback (coupled with the added efficiency due to reduced drag caused by regular balconies) if they are now adding ships company-wide. But there are plenty of ship options for those have tried them and who don't like them or who just won't try them.
  15. Is there a reason you NEED a card with your number on it?? I've never been given one and since your number is online I'm curious why you'd need one?
  16. I believe CVS and Walgreens are still doing them. Or CityMD. Or there are still LabQ vans (and others - I just trust LabQ) around on various streets in main tourist areas to get tests done.
  17. THIS is primarily why I like the beverage package. I like having it paid for up front and not having to do math on the ship to stick to a budget.
  18. I loved the decor. And the servers I had there made sure I was happy and well taken care of. The other dining rooms were ok, but there was just something extra about the service in Tuscan. Definitely felt 100% safe being gluten-free in there. One of the others...I think Cosmopolitan?...had two different entrees with the same protein and my server wrote down the wrong one that definitely had gluten-filled stuff in it. I noticed it as soon as it came out and got it switched, but I was very clear in what I ordered. I changed my second scheduled night in there (I had Select and had reserved 2 nights in each and did Eden for one night) to Tuscan to avoid any mix up like that.
  19. Also if you leave the door to that cabinet open a bit so air can circulate.
  20. OMG. I would have jumped overboard just to get away from them!!
