We did a 35 day circumnavigation Australia cruise. We booked tickets for the Sydney Opera performance of Carmen on Cockatoo Island just off the Harbor. It was fantastic. Should you wind up there, note it gets very cold at night and we were told to bring jackets. I really wanted to ride on Puffing Billy (Google the photos). Pretty sure we did it out of Melbourne. Used TBL. Best tour out of Sydney was a chef's tour we tour. Chef Jimmy.....Gourmet Getaway Tours. It's a food and wine tour.

We used a wonderful guide. Picked us up at ship debarkation (wait till you see the crowds) took us to some great spots. Stopped for lunch supper and then he took us to the airport. He and I had emailed back and forth as to what I really wanted to see and then added what he thought we should see. It was a remarkable day. He goes by Tourguide Gus....Augusto Guimares. Google him. Btw.....the walk from checkin until our gate for US departure was extremely long...the checking counter lady convinced me that I needed a wheelchair (2 fairly new knees). Boy was she right.

I did have schnitzel on last night. Honestly, can't remember... assuming it was veal not chicken.

Just got off Vista. Nothing special in MDR last night

We were just on Vista cabin 8048. We had our TV playing at night...very low in our opinion and got a call that it could heard next door. We could barely hear it while on the bed and no...we are not hard of hearing.

We just took the National Coach from Heathrow to Southampton. Worked fine. Just a little hard to find our bus. Turns out the bus front says the END stop and we didn't know that Southampton was not the end stop. So we almost missed our bus. Definitely take the option to change bus time. On the Sat before our Tuesday flight, BA cancelled the flight. So we had to change all flight plans. Got in same day but different terminal. You can change time BUT NOT terminal. So we had to schlep our luggage to original terminal spot. When we got out (near the big mall), there was only 1 cab but a bunch of people wanting a cab.

We had 3 bottles of Bulgari blue on vista...shampoo, conditioner, skin stuff. B1 cabin

Nope ..no shuttle We are in Dunmore East today. I assume there is a train going into Waterford. Will find out when we get off the tender. No info from Oceania in the CURRENTS .

We ate in Ember last night. The food was quite good. Service was superb .The noise level was extremely high . We were seated near the kitchen. Constantly had to raise our voices to be heard by the other couple at our table

All slots in ember full today. I asked at desk But they will take name for waiting list

We are currently in Vista.. Ember tomorrow night . I spoke to a bunch of others on the ship who have eaten in Ember. Only 1 couple didn't like it .

Good to know. A few years ago I had injectables that needed to be refrigerated. Would have been a problem then. Moxy location is great.

Also ...no safe in closet... probably because no closet.

I promised someone that I'd write a description of Moxy Southampton but don't remember who Anyway... We are here at the Moxy Southampton. There is no real lobby. You register at the bar Room is small ..that doesn't bother me. Compact bathroom but has everything I need. Very quiet. What is a slight problem is there is no mini fridge which I am used to having. I like cold water. Hotel is around the corner and across the street from the giant Westquay Mall. Walked over to M&S and Waitrose (both in mall). Picked up wine for our Oceania cruise. Ok selection.

I would go a few days early...get a private guide....so much to see in Rio. We hired Tour Guide Gus. His name is Augusto Guimares. I cannot believe how much we saw.

Certain subway stations sell a $10pp pass good for all day. We bought enough for the days we were in Singapore and just kept hopping on and off the subway....we stayed after cruise at the Hilton in Little India.we went to Gardens by the Bay...you want to be there when it gets dark because of the musical trees. We also took a boat ride that starts at Hooters and goes past several interesting sites. Definitely go to the shopping area

Woke up to email saying British Air cancelled our flight. Finally got another, non direct flight on American Airlines which will arrive after the bus leaves for Southampton. Good thing we took the optional change your bus time. Hubby call England and they switched our bus time. The only thing they can't switch is which terminal we pick up the bus. Originally terminal 5, now terminal 3. So we'll take the train as instructed to Terminal 5. We have 3 more British Air legs on this trip. Who knows if they will get screwed up as well? 😊

We have 1 couple coming in Delta Terminal 3 and 1 couple British Air Terminal 5. Anybody know where the National Coach pickup would be? Thanks.

And they came around with wine for us at our class on Marina with Chef Stephanie, who was a hoot.
