Thanks for the info. We usually cruise Oceania....supposedly there are big changes being announced and we are starting to look elsewhere. Keep the posts coming please.

If you look, you can find many good restaurants that cost no more than what we pay in the US. During our week in Sydney, we are at a wonderful Indian restaurant (twice), a super Chinese restaurant and an Irish pub. As we wandered, we checked out places for goinback to eat.

Definitely use a private guide. Hire one beforehand. We also used Dewa. Found him through this group. He was excellent. Lovely young man. We had emailed back and forth discussing what I really wanted to see (Monkey Forest) and what he thought we would enjoy seeing. Fantastic 2 days.

So how can you tell which credit can be used prior to cruise?

We were on the 35 day Australia circumnavigation. I have a list of shuttle busses as of December 2022/January 2023 Newcastle Australia....to Queens Wharf Townsville Australia...to Stokes Street Melbourne Australia.to Melbourne Skydeck Phillips Island...to Cowes Town across from Aldi Burnie Tasmania...to Burnie Arts & Function Center Broome Australia......to Dampier Terrace- downtown area Geraldton, Australia...to Old Geraldton Visitors Center Albany, Australia.....Visitors Center in town Center Busselton, Australia.....to Bussselton Pier

We somehow wound up with a lot of OBC from Oceania. My TA thinks it was part of an O promotion since it didn't come from her. Anyway....can I buy an Oceania excursion before we leave or do I have to wait until we are actually on board before purchasing? Oceania phrase been busy all day. Figured someone here will know.

Any ideas? We will be docked in Waterford in August. Having lived in a town not too far away....Carrick on Suir...we would love to go back to see the town and our old street. It's 40 years later. Haven't driven on "the other side of the road" since then. Any idea if we can find a driver to take us?

We were in Australia on Oceania Vista this past December/January . For HOBART.....we used I Wander Tasmania....Jarrod is the owner. Email... vacation@ iwandertassie.com. I had 8 people. We saw HOBART..went up Mt Wellington and then did several wineries. He has 8t set up that each couple could pay separately so I didn't have to be gatekeeper. He actually ran 2 busses that day. The other group went to nature stuff. For SYDNEY.....we had the most amazing day with 3 wineries. We are still talking about it. It was a Chef's Tour (Chef Jimmy) Very early start. Sydney Fish Market. Then we stopped to have chef cooked breakfast In Brooklyn, Australia. Was amazing. After breakfast We had a sushi rolling class where we all made our own sushi and it was kept for us in cooler to be eaten at last winery. We stopped at Ernest Hill Winery, then onto Pokolbin Winer (with food) then on to Saddlers Creek Winery (with food). The back of his van is outfitted with a cooking station.....doesn't run the tour everycday but if you, definitely take it. GOURMET GETWAY TOURS.

Is the Sunday brunch going to be on all Vista Cruises? Also it's interesting that he mentioned nobody came to help carry his food in Terrace cafe....I've ALWAYS had help quickly coming over to help.

I think I booked for 8 people. Might have been 6. Everyone was able to pay Jared separately so I didn't have to collect money

Also we were in Port Arthur. It was amazing. We booked several 1 hour tours directly with the prison site. Lots of walking. There were some golf carts that could be waved down if needed for the ride back to the Visitors Center. We had 1 guide named Jett who basically "became" of the prisoners on the island....he spoke as if he was the prisoner and told how he kept trying to escape.

We were all pleased. Jared who owns I Wander Tasmania had 2 groups going that day. Both up Mt Wellington and then to different places. We went to 3 wineries I think. everyone had a really good time. Jared was pretty good to deal with. We were also In Burnie for a day. Had originally planned a small group Chef's Tour but unfortunately the chef got covid several days befand we made the terrible decto take a ships tour (Oceania). How on earth do you bring a big bus of 50 people to a cheese place and forget to tell the place you are coming? That's why we never take ships tours

If you are on Regatta or Nautica Yoselin Yepez Group Coordinator 1-800-531-5658 ext 42114 For the other ships, I would call Yoselin's number and find out who group Coordinator is. I set up our meet & greet in December I told them we wanted Horizons, gave date and time and how many people roughly. They put up a sign that said "private function "

I understand that Privee is a private dining option at extra cost. Ok so far. Are there any sample menus of food and wines posted? Somehow I'm not see it when I Google. Thanks.
