Location/speed/sunrise/sunset/current temp/distance traveled. No real weather forecast. Cruise compass gives a generic forecast for the day and the captain tends to give a weather forecast, too. But it's Alaska so you never know

Oh I have no problem finding a good pour. I just stick to the straight stuff instead. I'll have one mixed drink when I first board, then one or two throughout the week at the end of the night. Actually on Adventure last summer I had a Rock n Rye when I boarded (haven't seen that on a drink menu since). Quite good. Then ordered it again at another bar and realized only one bartender made it right.

These are largely party cruises. I can't imagine many dress up

It's tough to find a drink that tastes like it has any alcohol in it.

Because the price of the cruise may go up in the time between when you picked out the cruise and when you are on board to book it, negating any OBC. Also obviously someone can snag your desired cabin in that amount of time, too.

It's worth it for the reduced deposit and OBC. It's not worth it if you know there's a cruise you want to book and are thinking of waiting until you're on board to book.

If you get a PCR test, yes, 1-2 days. But no vaccinated person should get a PCR test to cruise.

I wish RC would brew their own beer on board like a couple Carnival ships do.

You have to be near death for them to send a helicopter. Even the CDC discourages the practice.
