  1. Thank you everyone, hopefully when I get confirmations they will let me know for sure. I didn't even think of that. Once we know for sure we can decide what absolutely needs packed. It sounds like from the majority of answers cruise casual will work in the Italian & Asian restaurants which is what I'm hoping for this trip. Thanks again!
  2. thank you, I am getting bad request every time I search their site & try to open the answer. I see the steakhouse sited here which I knew they have cruise elegant dress code, but was unsure on the others.
  3. I looked on Carnival's website & for some reason most of their FAQ answers won't load. I feel like I should already know this but I don't. Do the other pay restaurants besides the steakhouse have a cruise elegant dress code on those nights? I like to dress up, but we aren't feeling it this particular cruise coming up & I was thinking I might try to get reservations on those nights. If the dress code is everywhere other than Lido I'll have him pack something that will be suitable. Thanks in advance!
  4. I am loving this review! Our very first cruise was Alaska 10 years ago, this is making me ready to plan another!
  5. We've never stayed in an aft balcony BUT the Havana area has that beautiful view so you might not miss it because you can lounge in the pool, hot tubs, deck chairs all day staring at it if you want! I'm pretty sure I accidentally spent an entire sea day doing just that lol. As far as Vista goes though, hubby & I went to the cinema, we played mini golf & several of the games up top, we had no problems hanging out in the sports bar & playing the games in there. The few things we wanted to do but couldn't because we aren't the wait in line types were the sky ride thing, bowling, & the gym always seemed crowded to me. I don't remember ever waiting long for an ATD table or even for lunch. Hope this helps!
  6. We loved the Spirit too! We had a Havana Premium Balcony on Vista 2 years ago & it was our favorite room on any ship we've been on. We have booked the Havana Cabana for our upcoming Horizon cruise. It is worth every penny. Maybe that's why when I read all the reviews on how crowded the Vista is supposed to feel I don't remember it that way. It's a very private laid back area that feels a little luxurious to me. I would definitely recommend both this class ship & the Havana area. I have always wanted to do a Mexican Riviera cruise so maybe we will take the kiddos & try the Panorama family harbor area one day!
  7. The Carnival Spirit. Being our first cruise & in Alaska helps but no ship has ever lived up to my memory of that one!
