  1. There is an article on Cruise hive! Celebrity Cruise Ship Oversold Six Months Before Sailing
  2. I have wrote for 6 months that I believed these scheduled cruises to Japan were going to be cancelled. Several things were not adding up! But everyone basically disagreed. Thanks for the update!
  3. I checked on this last year when I noticed that the Millennium ship was not listed in any of the ports for March and April 9, 2024. But they did show April 21, 2024. This when they started the new program of Japan in summer months. I called and literally they did not know what was going on! So they say!
  4. The sad thing is they won’t let us know so that we can book another cruise. Most of best of Japan cruise will be booked. So much for the customer!
  5. Is anyone else getting an email from everyone who responds to Pup. I have received at least 50 in the last couple of days. This has never happen before that I would get a notification that you have posted a comment on cruise critic regarding Pup. Any idea of why this is happening?
  6. Can someone explain this to me. I got a move up bid that’s says sky suite $2,500pp, is this on top of what I have previously paid? Sorry just confused! thank you
  7. The key word is chic attire! If you people watch like we do chic attire is open for interpretations! We always walk around in our casual clothes and have never issue. Enjoy your cruise!
  8. Thank you, I totally agree. They should let us know asap, so we can book another date. I tried a few and several of them are pretty much booked. I wanted the 🌸 blossoms. Very sad!
  9. I am starting to get very concern about this cruise! I have checked all ports that we will be visiting in Japan by dates and it does not show any Celebrity ship in port. They do show starting April 21, 2024 and all ports show Millennium in port. The last cruise Millennium has is February 21, 2024 to India after that there is not any activity until April 21, 2024. Does anyone know who we can contact to get an honest answer if this cruise is going to take place. Since this would be my 3rd cancellation on the best of Japan I would like to know so we don’t go all through additional travel arrangements.
  10. I thought something was strange! I have never used before in all my cruises, and I wondered why I have never heard anything on this board! Thank you!
  11. Has anyone used hotels by celebrity? I was wondering does it work the same as the airfare, you book now and pay with the balance of your cruise 90 before sailing. Thank you for any info!
  12. I’m wondering if your ship had a late port departure, I’ve notice they will then open the oceanview for late dinner since most people have been out on excursion.
  13. Check TripAdvisor! We were able to get around everywhere. There is a bus outside the cruise terminal, runs all day and late into night when ship in port.
  14. Please update us on Cafe el Baccio and Oceanview cafe for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea if there are any changes. Several of us would like to know if we can still get our americano, pastries and scones. This might be the deal breaker!
  15. I think it is because all of you have very late departures. We will see!
  16. Thank you for the update! This is wonderful news any improvement would be in the right direction. The menu in the MDR does not impress us at all! Thank you again!
  17. Can anyone report if they have seen carving stations during the lunch time? Thank you
  18. Just want to thank everyone that wrote emails to the corporate office and let them know we are not happy with the changes in the ocean view cafe. The sad part is that we know the various cruise lines must make changes due to cost! But to completely wipe out the ocean view with only one station is just a slap in the face. Next will be our coffee on 5!
  19. Just very disappointed for many of us who have been loyal customers. That’s all I can say!
  20. Well I reached out by email and here is what I received. Please be advised that the Oceanview Café will not be closed for dinner. The operating hours for dinner will remain the same, approximately, 6:00 – 9:30 pm. However, we will now have limited offerings. We will have one food station, which will host a 7-day rotational international-themed menu, a limited salad station, and pizza station. I am including a sample menu below with our Italian Theme Menu as an example. This menu is just a sample and subject to change.• Small Salad Station:White Bean SaladTuscan Panzanella with tomatoes and spicy focaccia croutonsChicken and pasta salad• Mains:Pollo alla CacciatoreBeef lasagnaEggplant ParmigianoMix vegetable medley• Pizza Station:PomodoroPepperoniMushroom and vegetableI hope this information is of assistance to you. We look forward to welcoming you aboard your next sailing!
  21. I guess we don’t fit the mold. We prefer to eat in ocean view cafe over main dinning room. We don’t enjoy the crowds at the dinning room and prefer to have a table by ourselves with a beautiful view. Hate dressing up for dinner, love the casual atmosphere, we dressed up for 47 yrs in the corporate world and don’t need it now. On our New England/Canada cruise in September on the Summit we notice changes as far as food. One of the craziest things was the cookies at the ocean view, we usually get a few cookies for our afternoon snack, our favorite oatmeal and now they only make them a few times during the 10 night cruise. They would put up sugar free! But, we still had a wonderful time. We are elite members and pay for the ocean view, if it is true that they switch to hot dogs, hamburgers and just pizza (this is not a Disney cruise) we are gone!
