If you are not a licensed helicopter pilot or airplane pilot, never taken the courses, passed and licensed, nor done years of courses and training to be a Ship Captain, You have no right to question the decisions made. Decisions are made with safety in mind. For Everyone. Safety first!

Book later… $100/pp to be applied towards a cruise you book within 6 months. You get OBCper stateroom amount depending on cabin type and length if cruise FCC is a voucher for a future cruise. one might get this for say a missed port. Anyway. things change and way too many new Celebrity staffers vs experienced so you might get different answers -

havevyou checked the deck plans for Aqua on the Reflection? I d suggest take a look if you are concerned about noise -
sounds as though you have the Classic beverage package right now. You will keep the same perks you have. You do not automatically get a Premium drink package. You will get priority embarkation IMO, paying to upgrade your drink package is worth it. Daily gratuity is more for a Suite Lots of new staff at Celebrity. Not all have correct info. Have a great cruise

Onboard charges to a USD credit card from a Canadian bank

Same here. USD Visa from RBC. It is cheaper to buy US dollars here to pay off credit card than to use cruiseline rate or have US amount charged to a Canadian dollar credit card. If you use a Canadian dollar credit card, charge US to it, you pay coversion rate plus about a 2 .5% fee. -

Thank you or your detailed report and photos AND for mentioning the altitude affects. do hope your body recovers quickly. Takes time to post, so thanks -
We had a flight mechanical which meant we would miss the ship. I called FBC and 10 minutes later call back with reservations on a different airline. We flew to new city where ship was, and were picked up by a private driver. If booked thru FBC, they handle it. no additional charge I know there are new staff at Celebrity and FBC. Why dont you call and ask?

for us, the big reason to book FBC is in the event of a weather or mechanical delay, they will get you to the ship even if on a different airline. (happened to us with a plane mechanical and at that time could not go to port a day or two before) The last FBC we booked for last month cruise, I didnt see any savings

DaKahuna. Obviously you were not on the Ascent last month, on our cruise, in Luminae When the Sommelier brings a bottle of wine that says DECOY, and, has the duck on it, it is Decoy. Oh. I do believe others have said Celebrity wine lists are not always accurate. FYI. There were other wines not listed, but were there. Never ceases to amaze us those that choose to contradict someone that posts about what they ve seen or experienced when those people were not there.
-
Decoy was back on in Luminae last month on Ascent. Wonder if wine available is dependent on ship. there were many that we used to get in Luminae not there

one thing that has stood out about some posts about different ships, are the critical comments about rust. metal ships in salt water = rust. Even a fine spray has salt and that erodes. Hard to get at every nook and cranny to wash the ship. I used to sail on a sailboat in the islands, and was always amazed at the fine salt film on the boat. Every port, we washed her. How do you do that with a ship? They try hard.

We too have a new CVP and he is awesome. Makes a huge difference in having continuity with the same person

not all airlines participate. Air Canada is one

RFID (radio frequency identification) is not used. That would mean a higher and more expensive level of technology. A see through card holder is not good enough. The card will have to be removed to enable a swipe. I would suggest a RFID protected holder when going ashore though.
-
you need Sea Pass as Jelayne mentioned, but also plus for getting on and off the ship, going through security at ports reentering to dock area, to shop in the stores, the bars or pool deck ordering a beverage, even water.
-
Yes. The staff are often used in other areas or have meetings/training and can’t go ashore.

I think the balcony is a bit larger than a regular Sky Suite. We had 2 chairs with a small table and 2 loungers.
