  1. The straws Carnival uses now are sugar straws. They can be thrown away with food if they don't melt first!
  2. The cabins on Celebration may not be the same as on Mardi Gras. I looked up my cabin that I booked for the Celebration on the Mardi Gras and it is a completely different cabin.
  3. Premier check in is usually early check in online (2 days before everyone else) so you get an early check in time slot. $500 free play is not added to your S & S card. You have to go to the Casino Cashier and they will give you funplay chips or cash (at least that's been my experience) DOU in the casino is for you and companion in your room and ONLY in the casino unless it specifies "everywhere on board" $20,000 prizes, etc. giveaways, games etc., while playing in the casino. I'm sure if I missed anything or was incorrect regarding anything, someone will correct me.
  4. Nowhere that I am aware of. You may have to call.
  5. They don't scroll through your phone. You just show the screen with a green check mark and you go right through.
  6. My Husband and I have actually stayed at the Hilton in Bimini and loved it! I don't know why it gets a bad rap.
  7. The Hub app is used for everything now. I liked it for some things but not for others. The new muster process is much better and I hope they keep doing it that way. Using the app to check in at the restaurants was also a good change. However, I did not like using the app for the dinner menus and I missed having a daily printed activities schedule. I found I missed a lot of activities because it was hard to read everything scrolling down the phone. I wish there was still a printed option for the menus and schedules. On our last cruise if you wanted a printed menu they brought it to you if you asked. Also, there were areas around the ship that have the printed schedule, i.e. , guest services, coffee bar, etc. Did you ask?
  8. Your reviews make me smile Megan and you are adorable! Thanks for the fun and safe travels!
  9. We used verifly for our Alaskan cruise in May and it was great. All I had to do was show the screen with the green check mark and was let through. I had both mine & hubby's on my phone so just needed to swipe to show his after mine.
  10. The only deal breaker for us is a 3/4 day cruise. Did one once out of Miami on Labor day weekend and the people were inconsiderate and offensive. We never did one again. Most of our cruises have been in balcony rooms. My husband enjoys sitting on the balcony and reading. I rarely use the balcony. However, we have been in OV and Interior rooms as well. If the cost of the cruise is significantly lower in an interior room, then I will book that as my husband has no problem sitting on deck and reading. As a matter of fact I just booked the NYE cruise out of Miami on the Celebration. The interior room was $100 pp with the deal I got (casino) and drinks everywhere on the ship. To me it's worth it especially on a brand new ship that has so much to offer. The cost of the balcony room for that cruise was over $1200 pp. However, to each his own. Happy Cruising!
  11. I also brought home the COVID souvenir from my Alaska trip in May. It's a chance you take just leaving your house. It will not stop me from cruising.
  12. Dress as you like. There are many people that dress casual even on elegant night.
  13. Can't wait! Doing the NYE cruise on her.😊
  14. Is my mind in the gutter or does that thing he's holding resemble something??🤔
  15. Boarding will not likely start until 10:30 or so with suite guests going first. This also depends on when the ship docks from the previous cruise. Cabins are typically ready by 1:30 PM. If you are Platinum/Diamond, you can drop your bags off in the room and perhaps your S & S cards will be in the mailbox. Have a great cruise!
  16. Can you post where you read this? That would be over 1000 guests
  17. Great Review. Did this trip May 2nd and you brought back the wonderful memories. I agree that Alaska is a wonderful cruise and should be on everyone's bucket list!
  18. You cannot purchase alcoholic drinks after you reach 15. It goes on your sail & sign card and stops at 15 whether its purchased or through your cheers package. I don't know if bartenders could get away with that even if it's possible.
  19. Just bear in mind that it is your CHECK-in time not boarding. Enjoy your cruise
