  1. I was on Joy in July, I play craps and the table min was $25! (No thats not an error) For the whole duration of the cruise (7day) Unbelievable!
  2. Yes all true statements, i actually had the same cabin on the Escape and yes that cabin number was 10918. I think that's where my confusion came in.
  3. I just called NCL, to submit a request myself as my cabin on the Xmas cruise dropped $1300!! They said they need to submit a request tot eh "Price Drop Department" I did not know the even had one LOL. The rep told me that i will get an email from them explaining how much it the FCC will be for. There will be a FCC for myself and my wife and we can use it on a future cruise. If i wanted to see it just log in and check my NCL account.
  4. Huge drop for my Xmas cruise on Getaway. My cabin went down $1300! On phone with NCL now they are setting me up with a future cruise credit as a curtsey.

  8. The question was about the choices one has about setting the DSC to whatever you want. I'm just laying out the options as per the question. How one decides to tip is there own prerogative and not my business.
  9. What Bird does not mention is that you can set the DSC to whatever you want. Thats why its called "Discretionary". If you feel that $15 /day/person is enough you can set it to that. Or $20, or $25. If you think the service was horrible you can leave nothing. You are in charge of how much you tip. Just go to guest services and tell them how you want to tip it's as easy as that.
  10. On the Joy, they had us meet up at the comedy club when we were ready to go to shore. The representative just brings us to the front of the line. Yah it worked nicely, no tickets required.
  11. I think you answered your own question. Its all a matter of preference. I personally get allot of decompression from work by just enjoying a coffee (morning) alcohol (evenings) and watch the water go by. Its really a personal preference. AK adds the scenery so i vote the balcony.
  12. I was just on Joy for the July 1st sailing. I scheduled our driver to pick us up at 10am. Got Lime luggage tags, that's for a 9AM disembarkment. We started our journey off the ship 9AM sharp (no matter whether they called us or not), no real issues got our luggage through customs and at the streat about 9:50am. When the driver was just texting me that he was arriving.

  14. Unfortunate set of circumstances. They get your hopes up and lets' be honest with each other, there is a level of excitement that comes with that notification. You start to tell people, FB friends yada yadah yadah and now you have to explain why your not upgraded. I get it. Some will blame "Upgrade Advantage" and say its not NCL's fault. But at the end of the day NCL highered "Upgrade Advantage" so they are responsible for here doings and errors. You did get your original cabin back and hopefully the charges reversed. So while your really not out anything monetarily they should have some common decency seeing as though they put your emotions up and than just let them fall on the cement! I still think you are deserving of some sort of OBC like $100 or maybe a free specialty dining something like that and i would be calling them now to get it.. That's just good customer service of which NCL has been lacking lately "In my opinion". I know the NCL cheerleaders will take exception with me and that's OK, but the facts are the facts. If i owned a pizza store and someone ordered a bacon pizza to be delivered to there home and they just got a cheese pizza. As a business owner I to keep a customer happy, yes i would own the error as i made the wrong pizza, i'm not gonna pick that cheese pizza back up, i'm gonna make a bacon pizza as requested and deliver it and by the way keep the other one with my apologies. This issue is the same when it comes to errors. A little bit of compensation goes along way to keeping a happy customer.
  15. Yah but even roll calls don't get a space for an entire cruise? they will get a space for 1-2 hours but that's it.
  16. We did an AK on Spirit last year. This was inplace of the Sun that ran into the ice. Good ship enjoyed it.

  18. Sailed her 2 times. The first time was excellent, Ship,Crew, Service. The second time (Jan 2023) not so well. Ship still nice, Crew amazing but very over worked. this unfortunatly lead to horrible service. The worst i've seen on any NCL cruise. Again the Crew is amazing and nice, but since there are so few of them,its creating very poor service in our view. But hey let raise the DSC that will take care of it! Not! The only fix for this is more FTE's for service.
