  1. See the official information at the Canada Border Services Agency page https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/ivc-rnc-eng.html
  2. Tuseday I submitted by email my request for shareholder credit at 2:29 PM. At exactly 8 hours later, 10:29 PM I received an email with an updated Booking Confirmation attached showing the Shareholder OBC. They are getting faster in the processing time. It might be because I put on the subject line "Shareholder Benefit Request - Sailing date: May 'X', 2023" I also put all the requested information in the body of the email along with the name of the attached pdf file that had the proof of share ownership. I minimized the number of files that the person processing the request needed to open.
  3. OOOOooooh In-N-Out the hamburger for people that like eating shoe leather.
  4. This is my first time hearing of them.
  5. Somewhere I have photographs of cakes in the buffet.
  6. Ask for wine glasses at one of the bars.
  7. Those cakes used to be standard in the buffet and no charge.
  8. There are people that cruise on Princess ships that do not drink alcohol or soft drinks. Will the coffee and tea card be reintroduced by Princess to cater to this clientele?
  9. For some reason the scroll bars were not displaying. When I searched again, after your last response to me, the scroll bars showed up. I really wish Princess.com offered a calendar view of the cruises offered. Any how the Port of San Francisco still needs to correct its cruise schedule. I am tempted to email cruise@sfport.com. and ask them when they are going to correct the published schedule.
  10. The partial transits of the Panama Canal are not listed for the time frame end December 2023 to early March 2024 in the princess.com schedule for the Ruby Princess. I searched by Ruby Princess with sorting by date. I also searched with Ft Lauderdale in the filter with same result.
  11. Besides the standard tasks listed in above comments the room steward will attempt to fulfill special requests. At the beginning of a cruise I have a special request that I ask the room steward to fulfill. I know it takes extra effort for them to perform this task so I give them a $20 dollar tip at point of delivery of the items requested.
  12. It seems you are correct. Just now I searched at princess.com for cruises originating from San Francisco and sorted by date. The result is that only the Crown Princess is currently scheduled to embark in San Francisco after the Ruby departs for the Panama Canal. One could email the Port O f San Francisco and ask when they are going to update the published schedule. I then searched just for Ruby Princess and found that there is a hole in its schedule from toward the end of the year into early 2024. I wonder if the Ruby will be going into dry dock for a major refit during that time?
  13. Cable rental service? Maybe he plans on being Comcast in 30 years time?
  14. I thought I had seen it in a different place when used for a prior cruise. Hmmm typical fix for what is not broke 😉
  15. The Medallion App does not make it obvious where to select an Arrival Group. It is buried a couple of menu levels down. IMHO not a very good UI design.
  16. This article will show you why surge protectors should not be used on ships https://www.dco.uscg.mil/Portals/9/TVNCOE/Documents/SafetyAlerts/SurgeProtectiveDevices.pdf?ver=2017-08-11-142750-690
  17. Pre-covid19 it used to be called PROGRESSIVE CRUISE CHECK-IN and the grouping was based by deck. For example this is the type of information that was in the Booking Notification email that used to be sent about 2 weeks before embarkation pre-Covid19:
  18. I use these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0748D8FX2
  19. Now holding up a couple of fingers is extremely rude. You probably do not notice the response is some spittle in your drink.
  20. That is a backronym. Tip is from early 17th century in the sense ‘give, hand, pass’.
  21. Here is the Port of San Francisco cruise ship schedule for the year 2023. https://sfport.com/files/2023-03/2023 San Francisco Cruise Schedule 2023-03-22.pdf
  22. It all depended on the ship. Pre-pandemic on the Grand Princess they were really good. I suspect that now with the new fleet head chef or whatever title he has probably not as good.
  23. At least it is not resurrecting a formal wear thread or a barrel chair thread...
  24. Are you sure it is not something wrong with your sense of smell?
