  1. I once made the mistake of saying to the waiter that I enjoyed the entree. A few minutes later another plate of the entree appeared over my shoulder.
  2. Just wash a couple of pairs of sock in the sink and hang them on the line in shower to dry.
  3. It all depends on who the executive chef is. The food on the Grand Princes in the MDR and buffet used to be really good. Then the award winning executive chef who had been a long time member of the crew left to start a dining establishment in his home town. Under the next executive chef the quality of the food declined. I have no idea who is the executive chef on the Grand these days.
  4. One needs to realise that a few months ago logistic chains were still having problems with deliveries even to supermarkets. It seems to be improving. We will find out in a few days if the situation has improved for logistic suppliers to PCL. I am amused by how some commenting here claim to know all about the food in the MDR on formal nights but then claim they eat in one of the "specialty" restaurants.
  5. https://oceanready-personalinfo-ui.prod.ocean.com/ is the web version of the app. Make sure to select language before login. Dine My Way is actually easier to use in the web version.
  6. It is pretty strange tthen hat I successfully switch back and forth between the web version and app.
  7. Did you try it in the web version of the Medallon App https://oceanready-personalinfo-ui.prod.ocean.com/ ?
  8. Having worked on major software projects far more complicated than the Medallion app beginning back in the 20th century all I can say is phooey. The developers of the app are as is typical of many US corporations in a subsidiary. (Typically this is done for tax purposes). If you dig into the Medallion App you will find that it is not built with tools native to either Android or IOS but with a tool from Microsoft. 😞 It indicates to me that the development team does not know how to create applications that can run on multiple platforms. It is obvious that the development group does not have a Quality Engineering team because there are so many problems that would have been found in the design stage if they had done so. Even if the development is outsourced there should be an in house team to perform acceptance testing with a well written suite of tests. If they had kept the Cruise Personalizer active the developers of the Medallion App could have referred to that. Simple things like entering passport details are impossible to complete. For some countries they do not even have the Nationality in the nationality field drop down. I notice that you are from the UK. The country may be the United Kingdom but the Nationality is either British Citizen or British Subject or one or two other Nationalities. (You can check the Home Office for details). This used to be handled correctly in the old Cruise Personalizer. In addition many passports put the first and middle names in the first name field and the Medallion App now rejects that. Once again the old Cruise Personalizer handled that OK. If you look at the Green Card document option that is a mess as well. It asks for information that is not used in that document!!! There are other problems with the app as well. From release to release they fix one thing that was working and then break something else. (Note I18n / L10n was one of several areas of my specialization along with security).
  9. The interesting thing is that the web site Cruise Personalizer feature used to work OK. They then introduced the app and stripped the functionality out of the Cruise Personalizer. What they should have done was add a few features to the Cruise Personalizer including CSS for small devices. If they wanted an app they could have just created a wrapper app to launch the Cruise Personalizer in a browser instance.
  10. It took major programming talent to create such a screwed up scenario,😉 I suspect they employ the least talented IT people and programmers that they can get.
  11. An updated schedule has been published: https://sfport.com/files/2023-04/2023 San Francisco Cruise Schedule 2023-04-20.pdf
  12. Most children I see out and about in California wear long pants. Their parents are aware of the damage the sun can cause to the skin with implications for serious illness later in life. Plus they are aware of the problems of ticks attaching to people who wear shorts and the health problems that can cause.
  13. Baby goats in long pants? Now that would be an interesting site.
  14. You can specify dietary requests in the Princess Medallion App. This will help ensure supplies are on board. In the Medallion App go to: My Preferences then Dining 1st page is "Share Your Allergens" Select whatever is relevant there and click Save. You will then go to 2nd page of Dining which will be Diet page. Select your Diet restrictions there and then at the next page Save. Once on board talk to a head waiter or Director of Dining Room Operations.
  15. In the UK 12 and under boys tend to wear grey or black Bermuda length shorts to school.
  16. There is an excursion that goes to Caribou Junction, Yukon via coach and then back to Fraser, BC where one boards the White Pass Railroad back to Ketchikan. Well worth the money and time.
  17. Clear the browser cookies for Princess.com and clear the browser cache. Exit the browser. Start the browser and go to princess.com.
  18. What has this to do with checking the safe before disembarking?
  19. Have you ever noticed that the panels in the corridor outside the staterooms are removable? Behind those panels runs the sewage pipes for each state room. It could be that there is a slightly loose coupling there allowing gas to escape. Report the smell to the cabin steward that services your stateroom and a plumber will investigate.
  20. No form is needed. See the official instructions at: https://www.carnivalcorp.com/static-files/bc1b7f04-a3e8-4176-91ac-a529290fe45d Which states the email addresses, fax numbers and what information is required.
  21. Which ship? The reason I ask is there are a few with covered pools.
  22. How in the world did you get the Medallion folks to respond? I sent an email to the "ocean" folks describing bugs and not a word back. I found some bad bugs involving it not accepting passport information correctly which it used to do okay a year ago. I found a few other anomalies as well in the travel documents part. I am amused with the developers lack of knowledge of geography, nations and nationalities. They really need to get a subject matter expert to work with.
  23. @trbarton and here I was thinking you were announcing an update that fixed that steaming mess of code. 😉
