When I was considering excursions for our next cruise I added one into my cart that I subsequently decided against. I removed it for me but it won't remove for my partner. It is showing as payment required on the payment page, and it is showing on our travel summary. I have called Princess to get it removed but they say it is not showing on my booking. I'm very confused and worried, almost to the point of booking and paying for the excursion for both of us just to put my mind at rest! I suppose my question is should I worry? And what on earth can I do about it other than pay a few hundred $ for something we don't want??

We are on the 5 night Ventura cruise in September that has 2 days in Rotterdam. I'm just wondering whether there is any kind of curfew on returning to the ship on day 1, as we are thinking of going "out out" in Amsterdam but would prefer not to be locked out! I sort of think there must be, surely they can't staff the gangway and security round the clock...or am I wrong?

I've just booked to sail on Ventura on 19th September with my daughter, as a treat for her just before she starts her final year at uni. I'm pleased to see the food looks good. Did you notice if there was a reasonable amount of choice for vegetarians? Your photos are wonderful, and my partner asked what camera you use? I can definitely see myself sitting in the Retreat with my Kindle and a cocktail or 2 🙂 I need to crack on with booking all the things that end up costing as much as the cruise now!

I've never bothered with speciality dining before but our next cruise is for our anniversary so we have booked 1 evening speciality dining. This is probably a really stupid question but my brain insists I ask....does our drink package still count at that meal, or will drinks cost extra too?

My partner worse a suit and tie on one night, and nice shirt and slacks on the second night, having seen what a casual approach is taken to dress code.

I can highly recommend Amalfi. If you can get Jonathon as your waiter you will be very well looked after.

For me, it's a comfort to have a waiter who has got to know me because my partner has health issues which can often leave me to have to go about my day alone. A familiar waiter at a regular table makes that much less uncomfortable. On our most recent cruise the waiter looked after me so well when I was alone, I could cry with gratitude! I am equally happy to sit and chat with other guests, but just knowing that I will walk in to a friendly face eases the whole thing.

I met passengers from our recent med cruise whose flights were cancelled due to the Italian air strike. Not Princesses fault, but you would expect them to help sort out new flights and/or hotels if you had booked with them in the first place. They did not do that, they basically shrugged their shoulders and said not our problem. It certainly cleared up any thoughts I may have had about going through Princess for any future flights.

We did the same on Enchanted, but only after woeful service in a different section one night. Shuffling us around for a couple of nights meant I knew exactly which wait team I wanted to see every night!

Trying to decide whether to upgrade to Plus, from the Plus I've already paid for...my next cruise is on Diamond, so already there is a paucity of the paid for casual dining options to factor in. Can anyone confirm whether they have the juice bar?

I think I'll just give up on packing swimwear. I've got no interest in a 6am chair grab, I just want maybe an hour a day or so where I can go for a swim, lounge around with a drink while I dry off, maybe enjoy a little of the poolside entertainment. If I mentally accept it isn't going to happen, instead of walking round the pool decks getting angry, I'll probably have a better time.

Just out of curiosity, because I'm someone who hates confrontation, has this ever caused an issue in any way?

My recent cruise on Enchanted was the same, I managed to find a distant corner to sunbathe for an hour on one sea day, other than that there was no chance. I can't be bothered with getting enraged on holiday so I took myself off to do other things instead but deep down inside there was suppressed fury. I enjoyed my regular size balcony, I'm sure you will have much more sprawling space. Bon voyage!
