  1. And now, I guess I have go to the website, since the app now shows my 1587 points as 1.5K, so adding 3 more points won't change that. Am I missing something?
  2. In both Calgary (yesterday) and Quebec (last month) everyone went to the kiosk. In Quebec, I forgot to do my ArriveCan, and had to answer the questions. In Calgary I did it, and just had to confirm I had no changed. Saved about a minute or two.
  3. As far as things like drink packages go - no you get what you had. You do get the access to Luminae, lounge and sundeck (if the ship has it), and I've been told you get drinks while in the lounge and sundeck. But you don't get the drink package that was associated with booking a suite.
  4. I never said that anyone had no empathy. All I said was that there didn't seem to be any expressed here. You are all making assumptions about me. So just be happy that Celebrity is making good, and pray to whatever god you do that this ends soon, and let's all go back to complaining about food cuts. And I hope you all get to go to Israel eventually. It's amazing and eye opening. (And the food, btw is great). Peace all.
  5. We forgot to do it when we flew in Quebec last month. There wasn't much of a line, but we did have to answer the questions at the machine, so we could have saved about 3 minutes or so.
  6. My niece is in Israel for the year right now. She's in Jerusalem, so hopefully OK. We spent 10 days there back in 2015. We loved it. And I just texted her and she's fine.
  7. Yes, that class of ship has very nice buffets. And since the Majestic was originally built for the Asian market, it does have some stuff not on any other ship.
  8. Which Princess ship were you on? If you were on one of the newer Royal class ships, I would tend to agree. On the older ships the buffet is much smaller than Celebrity, with far less variety, and a lot of the same food day after day.
  9. Did they respond? On Princess last month they had a paper form and I wrote about the poor service we received in a pay restaurant. Two days later they got back to me, offered a repeat, but instead we got them to remove the charge.
  10. Yes! He was Jesus's assistant on the Equinox. It was so nice to see him again.
  11. Maybe back to the Equinox? She was maitre d there for a long time, and I was surprised to see her on the Eclipse last summer (she said she wanted to see Alaska). What we loved was that our assistant waiter from Equinox in 2021 was our waiter on the Eclipse. He was excellent on both, so a well deserved promotion. And btw, over on FB there's a long thread about the hot mess that immigration was in San Francisco. Sounds similar. I think because you both went to Victoria, so had to do it at your first US port.
  12. Maybe they should go back to the "Big Better Best" or whatever preceded it. Or, you pick two. I'd do tips and drinks and just be careful with my free loyalty wifi.
  13. We're on Symphony OTS for 6 days just before our 7 day on the Apex in December. The price of the Crown Loft is a little bit less than our Sky Suite on the Apex, but a per day of about 150.00 more total. I guess we get a bigger room, but no butler on either. Difference, of course, is that we were never getting a butler on Royal. And a couple of days ago I noticed, that all the menus on the X app disappeared - main dining, Luminae, Blu, Specialy etc. On the RC app, the Coastal Kitchen menus also are gone, but others are still there.
  14. Since the Infinity has not been revolutionized it's still just Michael's club. We were on it in a Sky Suite for 24 days, and had a great time. We then were on the revolutionized Summit. There was better storage in the Infinity Sky Suite, although it's still dark woods. Michael's club as the retreat lounge doesn't look a lot different, but the seating was better in Michael's club. The retreat sundeck on the Summit was nice, though.
  15. Yup. AFAIK, the US passport said nothing about emergency. Of course that was a long time ago too. In any case, happy that Mark's parents get a cruise.
  16. We were on the Caribbean Princess for 10 days last month. For us the food was fine, but the ship felt very crowded. I think of the older Princess ships, it has the most number of passengers, and the other ship with the same layout holds about 500 less. Plus, because this was not a warm weather itinerary, everyone was indoors all the time. DH complained about the nickel and diming, but to be. honest, the main thing was the charge for room service (which we never use anyway) and to activate the app for food ordering (which we'd normally do, but we didn't bother this time).
  17. We'll be on the Solstice in March-April-May, from Singapore-Sydney-Honolulu-Vancouver, so following. Our itinerary is different than yours, but I'll still enjoy this. Thank you
  18. I just read all this, and I'm glad they were able get it worked out. I did get curious about the emergency passports not being accepted for the port stop? I had my passport stolen the afternoon before a 16 day cruise. We were in Buenos Aires and the first port stop was Falklands, which would have menat I couldn't join the cruise until midway into it. We'd worked with a local travel agent to book tours in BA, and she was great - she took us to the Embassy first thing in the morning, and by 11:30 I was on my way to the ship with a 1 year passport. And I just took a look at it - the only indication that it wasn't a regular passport was a not on the back page that it was issued to replace a stolen passport and couldn't be extended. But maybe that's just US. Anyway, I hope they have a great cruise.
  19. I'm sure they didn't but I am very curious as to what they do that the butlers did and they do. It wasn't meant to be petty - it's a matter of actual curiousity. (And gives me some information for feedback about how I booked with a butler and got a room steward only, if that's the case).
  20. I'm tempted, when they introduce themselves to politely ask what makes it different from being a room steward.
  21. Yeah. I guess, if over time the suites go unsold, they'll either reduce the price so much that people will book again, feeling that the price now matches the overall service, or they'll restore the service level and hope people come back. Fortunately for them, most cabins aren't suites.
  22. I'll do a live in January, so we can see if anything changes between now and then. I have X sky suites booked through mid 2025, with one more planned to book at the end of 2025, after that, we'll see. I'm pretty sure I can't get DH onto MSC.
