  1. You keep the package perks you have, but you get the room perks, which in the case of Aqua means the spa perks and Blu. No charge for Blu, but you don't get the wifi and gratuity.
  2. Don't - the several time changes are brutal. (When we did east to west 5 hours by the end we were on deck with 6 am joggers. we're night people).
  3. My app updated and I thought I couldn't see the browse. A fellow CC'er helped me. On the checkin page, go to Select a different cruise. Once there, go to "Don't see your cruise? Add it now". Below the info to add it, in small print, is "Browse our ships". I hope that's comprehensible.
  4. You wouldn't. Maybe that's why only Elites go. 😁 Seriously, the event predates the Plus/Premium packages, so most people didn't have them (drink packages by themselves require a lot more drinking than I do to be worth it).
  5. I might be wrong, but I don't think it's limited to Elites, they just get it for free. Others pay, I think it used to be around 9.00
  6. Too bad you missed Manhattenednge -where the sunset lines up perfectly with the street grid. It's very cool.
  7. Right after sailing resumed, and they'd cancelled both the HH event and the Cruise Critic gathering, due to crowding/Covid concerns. Of course, that didn't stop them from doing the more crowded silent disco.
  8. Keep in mind that only one of you needs the points, as long as it's the same one. DH has my status, even though he's one behind in terms of his points (because I do one a year with my sister). He doesn't do power up at all, since he doesn't need it.
  9. Price is per person for the trip (and when we got Concierge to Aqua and I told DH, he asked the same question).
  10. Exactly. I'm hoping that, assuming they're well attended, that they'll resume nightly. Or (just thought of this) maybe it's a trial balloon. If they're well attended, they'll go back to nightly. If not, then they'll figure people really prefer the drinks at most bars, and drop it again.
  11. Then don't worry too much, since they'll probably have the same wines on the next cruise (I'm assuming you'll make Elite after the first one?)
  12. Thanks for this. Great info. I was in Bergen in 2015. We had quite an adventure, including a public bus. Great fun. I'm hoping to see Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, but that's as far as I've got on this trip, since I'm still finishing up working on our Mega trip in the Spring. I'll give you my email address. If you're home, maybe we can have coffee or something. It would be great to meet you. abby at glenandabby dot com Thanks again
  13. Thanks. There's no overlap. We do overnight in Oslo. Would love to meet you guys if you're around.
  14. We can only hope. I miss those.
  15. We usually book suites, but have always enjoyed the happy hour at the Sky Lounge. We usually spend it talking with new friends from Cruise Critic. I'm happy it's back a couple of times per cruise.
  16. Ok, By the way, we'll be on Montgomery on February 6. Although if you know of good restaurants even if you've never been there, it would be more than we know now.
  17. More like a revenue producing measure. I think it's also a way for them to make the packages more appealing, since they include Alfredo's in those.
  18. Would you mind emailing me if you have a chance? I might like some suggestions for restaurants, etc. abby at glenandabby dot com Thanks
  19. On our last cruise, our friends in an inside were on the ship well before us, even though we'd traveled to the pier together. It was Miami, and we had to wait outside for someone to escort us to the suite checkin. Would have been faster to do regular.
  20. hmm I only need 1415 to make Zenith. Here's the scary thing - assuming I don't get so annoyed with X that I cancel anything and I use the holding booking I have, plus a few more PUP opportunities, I should get there by the end of 2025
  21. We're on the Apex to Norway on August 16, 2024 - only 7 dqys, but that's what our friends wanted to do. Then we spend 4 days in the South of England, and get back on the ship for a Scandinavian 12 day cruise. Very excited.
  22. I just noticed you're from Alabama. Just curious, where do you live there? My sister and I will be in Birmingham (also Selma and Montgomery) before a cruise in February.
