  1. Other cruise lines keep their buffets open late with a limited selection in a limited area with far fewer crew than normal meal times. It doesn't seem to be a problem for them.
  2. Very valid point, although the MDR meal they aren't eating (and have already paid for) should also then be compared to a hotel restaurant in a larger city and tourist location.
  3. I totally agree. It was occasionally worth it back when it was basically just a surcharge, in the $20 range. Now it's basically the price of an entire land-based restaurant meal. People tend to compare the cost of a specialty restaurant to a land-based restaurant, but they fail to consider that they've already paid for a meal in the MDR.
  4. I stated this a few years back, that I thought that eventually the only included food will be the buffet (and the smaller places like Promenade Cafe).
  5. It sounds like of people are doing exactly what the cruise line hopes they will do.
  6. Do you know if they showed the recent game that was only on Peacock? That one (including the upcoming Peacock-only playoff game) is kind of an outlier.
  7. I definitely wish WJ was open later, in some form. It would be nice to have the option of a decent late-night snack.
  8. I'm not doubting you, but I'm curious how you know this, particularly the part about the game on Peacock?
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if they start charging for it. Perhaps it will become like North Star, included on port days, charge on sea days. If people are willing to pay for it, why wouldn't they do it?
  10. Exactly what room type do you have?
  11. Can you just not go to these shows?
  12. What port(s)? Interesting theory about cost-cutting. While it would save them money in "parking" fees and fuel, it would also potentially create losses for them in the form of fewer/shorter/less expensive shore excursions sold. Not sure which amount would be bigger.
  13. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/resources/contact-us
  14. Have you contacted Royal Caribbean directly about this? It's pretty unlikely they will see your post here.
  15. Lol "submit dishes/recipes" isn't exactly what I was talking about. I like being able to go in the kitchen whenever I want, using whatever ingredients I want, to make whatever I want. I'm not saying everyone has to want that. It's just something that I enjoy doing, and would not want to not be able to do it. No excuses here. Just stating a reason.
  16. This would be a show-stopper for me, not being able to cook anything for 9 months. I like the idea of all meals being made for me, but I would want the option to make something myself.
  17. They removed the every day items. That seems like a pretty significant change to many.
