  1. On a recent cruise, the hotel director stated that during the shutdown, a lot of crew just decided that they enjoyed being at home, and have not chosen to return to work.
  2. But they don't provide any assistance if you test positive. Just want to make sure people understand that.
  3. You have a strange way of making your point.
  4. What? All I did was suggest that they get insurance or not go on the cruise.
  5. It would be interesting to know what percentage of customers currently purchase the drink package.
  6. If you are talking about testing on the last day before leaving the ship (in preparation for a flight), and you test positive, RC won't do anything for you.
  7. I think of the "life is too short" expression in a different way. I would rather book lesser rooms and do more cruises.
  8. I'm not disagreeing with this necessarily, but why do you think this is the case? I just tried a mock booking from Vancouver to Seattle on Avis and it let me.
  9. Consider renting a car and driving. It's only about a 2.5 hour drive.
  10. Do these get you anything in Canada? Also, I assume you would be doing self assist.
  11. Which type of suite are you considering? There's a wide range of them with very different perks.
  12. You get refunded for any days you spend in that lesser quality cabin. You don't pay for it.
  13. Actually it won't hug the coast as much as you might think, other than when looking at glaciers. They want to be away from the coast so that they can open the casino.
  14. Maybe it's just me, but I think the way you worded your first post in this thread is leading to confusion. Instead of starting out by basically saying, "Because Explorer's wifi was so bad and my device wasn't able to maintain a reliable connection to it, I incurred a lot of roaming charges while docked...". That wasn't completely obvious, at least to me, until I re-read the post a few times.
  15. Are you saying that you actually believe what the OP stated?
  16. As smokeybandit points out, it depends on their home country (among other things). There are several countries (15 according to https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/tax-free-countries) that do not have income tax.
  17. Thank you for being the arbiter of what's other people's business! Anyway, you obviously still don't understand the point of my original question, and it's not worth my time to explain.
  18. None of "our" business? Lol speak for yourself regarding what is your business versus anybody else's.
