  1. I did North Star for free during the port Canaveral stop. It was really good. Definitely worth doing for free if you can during a port stop, not sure I would pay for it during sea days. Don't know anything about the late night activities as we were back in the room by 10-1030 each night (picking up the kids from adventure ocean by 10PM each night) Overall the nightly entertainment was decent. They only had one comedian which was late night towards the end of the cruise so did not see him, wish they had more comedians.
  2. $100 OBC for Inside or Oceanview rooms $125 OBC for balcony rooms $200 OBC for Suites And $25 each for 3rd or 4th guests. We got $150 OBC since we were in Oceanview room and had our 2 kids with us.
  3. Honestly most hotels and cruise ships have terrible beds to begin with anyways.
  4. If Royal could stop at Port Canaveral by 8AM then KSC would be great to do but with what time they arrive you have so little time for KSC it is not worth it. Going to Disney when you factor in the time it takes to get there and back is not worth it. Cocoa Beach is decent so that could be worth it if you never been before. Honestly I would say just look at the stop as another sea day. That is what the majority do.
  5. We were on this cruise as well. Our original plan was we were going to get back on the ship once this was done to drop off our passports and kids birth certificates and then go out in Miami for a little beach time and some lunch and shopping (figuring it would be done by 10:30AM based on what the time frame was) but with everything that happened by the time we got back on the ship it was already 1:30PM so we ended up just staying on the ship since there really would not have been much time and we were hungry. We did not want to take our passports and kids birth certificates with us into town because you never know and those are the last things we would want to lose. This was such a mess, there were old people who needed medical assistance, I heard a child suffered a seizure, there was a potential near riot when a large group were chanting "refund, refund, refund..."
  6. I forget the dude's name who was playing piano at Schooner Bar but he was very good, I remember he was from Sheffield England. We checked him out a couple times. He basically played there almost every night. I want to say it was The Dukes who played at Music Hall but that may have been towards the end.
  7. No, we had 10:30AM check in time and we got there at that time and there was a dude basically saying anyone can come on board regardless of check in time. It was pretty quick to get on board.
  8. There was no aerialists for Spectra's Cabaret. I thought the show was ok, started strong but then really dragged on.
  9. There was no brunch menu. MDR has 2 types of breakfast. One side was ala carte off their menu and another side was a small buffet. They also had lunch in MDR on sea days. We did it one time and I got Mediterranean Lamb Pita which was great!
  10. I enjoyed the food in MDR, Escargot appetizer is really good. Lobster night of course was great. We ended up staying on ship for Port Canaveral. I would say 85% of the people did as well.
  11. I just did Anthem of the Seas 8 day cruise from 10/29 - 11/6 out of Bayonne which had stops in Port Canaveral, Coco Cay, Nassau and Miami. Feel free to ask me whatever questions you have about the ship. Some notes. 1) I had ocean view room so if you want to know about balcony level or above I am not the person to answer. 2) I did not purchase VOOM internet plan so no answers for that. 3) I did not purchase Unlimited Dining Plan and I did not eat in any specialty restaurants so no answers for you on those. 4) I did purchase the Deluxe Beverage Package so I can answer plenty on that!!!! I will simply say other than the long hiccup that occurred with the immigration process in Miami this was a great cruise.
  12. I do not know, I have never purchased dining package.
  13. Does your set sail pass say DX (assuming you got Deluxe)? If so then you good.
  14. That is how I am too. I do not drink much at home (maybe 1 or 2 over the weekend) but yeah on vacation I let loose. 7 Drinks per day on vacation is not that much if you spread it out. Now if you do all 7 drinks say in a 3 hour span in the evening, yeah that might not be good.
  15. I will be on that cruise too. I hope to be able to watch some of the World Series too. Cannot wait!! Also Eagles in addition to the Sunday Game will also be the Thursday Night game that week on the cruise which coincidentally is against the Houston Texans.
  16. At a minimum if you both want to buy the deluxe beverage package I would say combined you would both then need to consume minimum 12 alcoholic drinks per day at the max price point allowed to get your money's worth. Now obviously that would vary if you also will have non alcoholic beverages or drinks that are a few bucks cheaper. My only recommendation I tell anyone who buys the deluxe beverage package is do not drink beer during that cruise, use it only for the good stuff up to the max point and any non alcoholic drinks you want to mix in.
  17. That ship looks incredible. I do not think I would even want to leave the ship when in port.
  18. Raising the prices now so that black friday deal looks good to those who do not know.
  19. I will be on the next Anthem Cruise Oct 29th out of Cape Liberty, cannot wait!!! Please make sure to keep the ship nice and clean for me 🙂
  20. We will be on Anthem end of the month. We have costumes for our kids and my wife and I will dress up too.
  21. My philosophy on tips is simple. Whatever the cruise line charges for tips is what I pay. I will of course not go to guest services and request less but I am not going to tip more as well.
  22. Yeah as others said in these current times that is probably the best you will get.
