Thank you April. Yes, we have done many late night/early morning munchies at the Chicken or the Egg too. today is mostly cloudy and was quite chilly on the beach so we just went for another bike ride. I think we are over 10 miles today. Going to read on my deck and try to catch whatever UV rays I can before we have to get ready for Howards French Fried Lobster tonight. They have the best Lobster Bisque too! Enjoy your day๐

For my Birthday breakfast we went to the Chicken and Egg - they are really expanding and have taken over almost the whole block (main dining room, new dining room on one side, then on other side is a new take out section then at corner is a pizza parlor to open soon. Then rode our bikes down to Holgate and wandered around a bit, now back home and getting ready for the beach. Clouds are rolling in - I'm not happy about that as I love my Sunshine๐

I still change my own oil and brakes on my car. I taught Eric how to do this years ago. Back in the day (sorry for using that) I could do tuneups, change out starters, alternators, carburetors, belts, radiators, etc etc. Changed engines and tranny's with Dad and Brother when restoring cars. Even body work as a beginner. I miss those days hanging out in garage with my Dad.

That is Great that Caden is open to trying to new foods and enjoying them. We changed plans as Viking Village was sold out of scallops same for Blue Claw seafood market. they both said Father's Day wiped them out of a lot of seafood and expect a scallop boat to come into dock Tuesday so we will make for dinner on Wednesday. Tomorrow we plan on going to Howards Restaurant for their delicious / famous french fried lobster. https://howardsrestaurant.com/

I think the wind was around 15 to 18 mph yesterday. It felt good on the beach with the hot sun. I heard it was really windy at home and my cats didn't like it. Today was very calm, hardly any waves due to sandbars. More people in the ocean today, the young ones, too chilly for me to go any further than my feet. I saw on the news the horrible fires at Wharton State Park. something like 11,000 acres impacted.

We had a beautiful day at the beach yesterday. Spent several hours on the beach - walking, reading, napping - just pure relaxation. We then grilled up some filet mignon and my SIL made crab cakes with some jumbo pick n peel shrimp (our own version of surf and turf) with steamed asparagus and baked potatoes. Enjoying time with my Brother and SIL. They went golfing this morning and we are doing a little work online. Cloudy right now but should clear up for another wonderful day. Heading out to Viking Village soon to pick up some sea scallops for dinner. I plan on making mushroom risotto with pan seared scallops.

I played softball and fast pitch softball for many years for my township and Jr High and High School teams. I had twisted my ankle and banged into the metal stake they used to hold bases down with while I was sliding into 3rd base. Healed nice but years later every now and then that ankle bothers me. Hopefully that won't be the case for Owen.

If you were moving to another cabin you don't need to print out luggage tags then either.

We have been to Bermuda several times on cruises and land vacations. I agree, Horseshoe Bay Beach is very touristy. We enjoy taking the local bus (get a day pass for bus or ferry at building on cruise dock) and you can go to any beach. We have found many nice private spots near Horseshoe to be very nice and have some great memories on this island. If you definitely want to go to Horseshoe Beach then take bus #7 from the royal navy dockyard to the beach. We love their bus system. taxi's are very expensive on the island so we avoid using them.
