  1. The zucchini plants are doing really well. 2 years ago I planted spaghetti squash and the vines went everywhere. Like pumpkins do.
  2. That sucks! Sorry to hear of these troubles with covid and travel delays. The fjords and artic circle should still be there for future cruise. I completely understand as our Norway Fjords cruise was cancelled for us too! Someday soon we will make it there Hopefully hubby feels better soon.
  3. Come on down, just please stop and pick up more wine on your way😁 PS - we have Kraken, cranberry and mango juice, grey goose vodka, cruzan peach rum, cruzan aged rum (St Croix), watermelon vodka, dacquiri mix (strawberry and mango) simple syrup, fresh picked mint leaves, but out of wine. SOS!!!
  4. You can call royal a couple days before your sailing and pay for all parties to your credit card then.
  5. check clubroyaleoffers.com input last name and your crown and anchor number
  6. Yes, check your cruise planner under beverages for the price or you can bring a 12 pack onboard. Otherwise I think it is around $3.50 or $4.00 per bottle onboard. I'm fine with drinking water served in dining rooms, windjammer, etc. We are prime casino members and grab a bunch of bottled waters every day to take back to our cabin and use when we go to port.
  7. All good! Having worked in mortgage biz for 25+ years I wish I didn't know real estate terminology. I am really getting tired of this biz and ready to move to something more simple, less stress before I retire. Plus this crazy market we are in right now.
  8. To my surprise Eric (who I thought was in other room watching TV) just whipped up some crab bacon dip with the leftover blue claw crab we had from Sunday dinner with the kids. He is Wonderful, except I was informed he just opened up our last bottle of Riesling that we picked up on way down here Uh-oh! This is what happens when we don't have supervision by the kids who left early this morning to go back home to go to workπŸ˜‡
  9. Our water/sewer bills 2 years ago were around $150 per quarter (maybe $110 during winter months) now they over $200 per quarter. I don't want to even think about what they were years ago. We have gas heat and cooking and find that to be reasonable but who knows where that will go nowadays. We have PECO for electric and were notified that effective June 1st the price was going up 8.2%
  10. Thank you. We love it here. It is not one of those huge mansions that you see all over the island but it is our happy place. While I was on my morning bike ride I noticed someone has hung various flip flops on their fence as decoration. Looks really cute. I will have to take a photo tomorrow. I may steal their ideaπŸ˜‡
  11. I agree. Some of my older neighbors that want to avoid using steps have moved their washer/dryer upstairs moved to a closet or one woman put in her garage but then had drainage issues. I am just fine with them in the basement
  12. Exactly. With how many homeowners are currently protesting the new system I hope they go back to the other system like you have. We know have digital water meters and the system automatically sends the info to the water authority. Our bill went up $40 to $75 per quarter depending on time of year. Spring/Summer we are watering flowers, washing cars, etc.
  13. Yes, I know and we have done our own maintenance on toilets over the years but it is nice that we can call our township water authority and let them know we had a leak (any kind of leak) and they will simply give us a credit - usually small maybe $10 or 20 but it is nice they do this.
  14. Our rescue cat Sparky has a new thing where he jumps on the ledge of the first floor windows and taps on a window to come inside. Open window and screen and in he walks and jumps onto furniture. Goof ball.
  15. Your garden looks great! What do you have planted on the rightside of this photo? Some of my sunflowers were starting to how sign of blooming the morning we left. Hopefully they will be in full bloom by the time we get home.
  16. I love recipes like this. pretty much how we do it in our house. Rarely use a shot glass to make a drink. Just eye ball it based on the glass being used at the time. I do get confused when I make pitchers of drink so we have a rule "drink it before you drink it"
  17. I do 2 ways. easiest way is 1 cup of sugar to 1 cup of water in large microwaveable bowl. Cook for 2 minutes, stir then cook for another 2 minutes then cool off and put in fridge for later use. or you can do same 1 cup of sugar / 1 cup of water stove top and simmer until sugar is melted and solution is clear liquid. Then cool off and put in fridge. I have heard it stays good for up to 4 weeks but my solutions are gone in a matter of days in my house.
  18. I know I hear that a lot. Some of my neighbors have moved their laundry upstairs but for now mine is in the basement and works for me. I tend to forget I was doing laundry (out of sight out of mind) and I don't always hear the units beep when done.
  19. In my township we have a water/sewer bill that is issued every quarter. Recently they changed the calculation for the sewage part of the bill to be more in line with the amount of water you use per quarter. there are a lot of unhappy pool owners billed for sewage because they filled their pool. We then have annual school tax bill due by August 31st (this is the largest bill of all) We then have County/Township/Trash tax due by April 30st
