Yes, very possible to share at Food Republic and the places the Keith Jenner mentions since it is specifically 4 items. Not possible for 2 people to share one at some place like Le Bistro ordering one entree and tons of apps and desserts.

Thanks we stayed on 17 in a H2 last year on the Escape and loved it other than the wind. This time was going to go aft, but changed to a 2 bedroom, which I have stayed in on other ships, just not Escape.. I love the aft and the balcony on the aft, but miss being in the courtyard. I’ve waffled more times back and forth on this cruise on room type than any other trip.

Is there any benefit from deck 17 to 18? The balconies are the same size, correct?

Last few trips on the Getaway and Escape, Howl at the Moon was horrible, pretty empty at night and dueling piano bars are only fun with a big crowd. 15 to 20 people listening just doesn’t do it. But IMHO, they couldn’t sing, especially the women they had on stage. It was uncomfortable listening to the few songs we stayed for. I can see them doing something better with the space since it was empty. The only time it was good was if the Choir of Man or Syd’s Norman’s cast made an impromptu appearance.

We were escorted down every show on the Getaway to Syd’s. Like another poster mentioned, the concierge had a sign out every day on what time to meet in the evenings for Syd’s, theater shows, etc. We had to meet 45min to an hour before each show time. So the Haven wasn’t getting in last minute or anything like that. Instead of waiting in line outside, we got to wait inside. But we still had to get there early.

I just booked our cruise tonight through CAS and I asked if I got any latitudes bonuses and the agent said yes 2 extra points per night. We also had 2 100 coupons I knew nothing about. So all pretty good.

Thanks, I know there were previous discussions on this but the search feature never works well for me. Thanks for the info! We prefer the bathroom with the view outside for the layout, and also prefer the bedroom to be dark, so the few times we stayed aft, we always tried to get these.

On the Escape which decks have the deepest balconies? I believe it went 9, then 12, but didn’t know from there. Also, which Haven aft floors have the configuration with the bathroom towards the outside of the room (picture window in the bath looking out towards the ocean). Thanks!

Your old room will be gone since when they upgraded you, they upgraded someone else to it. So look at it as a lesson learned, move on, and enjoy the perks of a club family balcony. You’ll have a blast!

Adding my name to the degenerate gamblers club who doesn’t pay full price for the Haven. I’ve never been comped a Haven room, but am comped everything from ocean view to club balcony and then pay to upgrade. Our next cruise cost us less than the price of an ocean view for an H6 (2 bedroom family) all in. Usually start with a land based comp, I let them know what I want to upgrade to, then they look up my play on the ship, and I’ve never been disappointed with the price. Although it is a goal to be comped the Haven outright!

I don’t understand this thread at all. It seems like the people that are arguing against the Haven are using that to justify their opinion is the better one because they are not elitists.....which in itself is elitist. If you want to book Haven book it, if you don’t, don’t. Sheesh.

I don’t believe the original OP has come back, but they didn’t actually say they were staying in the Haven. Could they have been trying to use the concierge services based on latitude status? Just curious.

Who is the concierge currently on the Getaway? We sail later this month. We have always had excellent service from our concierges.

What I love that others don’t: overpacking. People say don’t do it, but I have never regretted it. I’ve never thought “wow I wish I had less choices for outfits”, even with overpacking I always think “ man, I wish I had even more choices”.

Used Hilton honors points for the Home 2 suites, and the points weren’t terrible. Thought it would be more. We stayed there in November and loved it so staying again.

The bar closed around 7 but the area was open to 11 for use of the hot tubs.

I would take a sea day over Nassau any day of the week.

Isn’t Tortola being cancelled due to their Covid requirements? I think if they would change those it would be an option again. Love Tortola.

The ones they were offering as premium I never heard of and wasn’t really sure they were premium. Definitely no Vueve. So we usually stuck with islandy mixed drinks in Vibe.

They had some, but did not have everything we were looking for on our last trip.

Breakaway, or that matter any ship in her class, Vibe is worth it. But I am one of those people who really don’t enjoy being around kids on vacation. The biggest draw to Vibe for me is that by the end of the week, I’ve always made great friends there. More so than in the Haven, and definitely more than in the Thermal spa. So to me yes it Is worth it. I’ve been in the Vibe on the Breakaway, I believe it was during March though, and it was necessary and definitely added to the enjoyment of the cruise.

I know the Escape had this, but can’t remember about the Getaway. Is there a door that goes from the Haven directly to Vibe (can be opened with your key card only after you add Vibe to it). Thanks!
