  1. @GeorgesGalLots of Cabins opened today on the August 31 New England - Almost every class except Aqua available. Must have been the date blocked bookings for TA expired. Been sold out for months. 2. Wow - it's like re-reading a good book. We are taking much the same cruise in September 2022 I have re-read from the beginning again and took some good notes. Especially all the Lobster Roll reviews. @Turtles06 It is as good or better of a bing read as when I originally followed along!
  3. I'm close by, my cruise in in 45 days thus also still greyed out. I don't believe you can get them directly in the App but I have pulled it up on my phone using the browser and printed direct from my iPhone.
  4. My first picture I shot early in the morning not realizing how bad my bed head was. I looked like Ann Burrell.
  5. Never seen it on any of Celebrity's ships. Sorry. You might be able to order a steamed milk and mix your own matcha into it. In the past they would not mix ingredients from guests supply into a drink for safety and sanitation reasons.
  6. While this wasn't recently (actually September of last year). I know you all remember the Southwest meltdown. We were on a cruise that as a result of that meltdown about 25% of the already lightly booked cruise missed the sailing. They were not allowing download boarding so they were out of luck. I think we set sail on an S-Class with only about 450 passengers. Most that missed the cruise were part of a Group that was holding seminars on living a happier more fulfilling life or something like that.
  7. Can definitely understand and use to (per-retirement) do the same. I think you will be pretty safe as most of the time the TransAtlantic flights are pretty good about arriving close to schedule time. The biggest problem lately is connections and under staffing of pilots.
  8. I got around to putting our pictures in yesterday so now just waiting for the luggage tags to become active. When checkin comes active it makes the cruise real.
  9. You can also change your picture at any time up until a couple days prior to the cruise. When changing it you can either upload or take one with the camera on your phone or computer.
  10. OK GenX, It's time for you to march down to the Front desk and tell they you are staying aboard for the next cruise. Only then can you let your husband know. I need another fix of GenX .
  11. They don't get luggage tags emailed you will get an email saying the docs are available. About 10-20 days prior to the cruise will also see on the upcoming cruise - Both at the top where it says see boarding pass there is a link to print luggage tags (don't need the full documents) and the line that says View and Print Documents will turn teal and become active.
  12. In addition to the above if you are a Captain's Club Member of Elite (1 bag pp) or Elite Plus (2 bags pp) you get either 1 or two bags per person of free laundry plus 1 item pressed.
  13. I had some decent ones for our passport and just scanned them in and keep them on file on my pc and then just choose them as our photos.
  14. They pop up for security monitor every time you board or leave the ship. Also when a server swipes your card your picture also pops up on the cash register. From talking to the Retreat Hosts they say that is how they identify their guest so they can address them by name before they get to know them
  15. @39augustis correct it's option 5 When you call FBC one of the options are for emergency same day problems. You call the regular number 800 533 7803 and listen to the prompts. The last one is Press 5 if travel has begun and you have a problem and you will be transferred to the emergency assistance team.
  16. LOL.... I know the feeling. That's why I saved a set of photos we like and then just upload them
  17. I've never tried to upgrade but have booked with FBC with Delta before. For my flight I checked FBC rates and the same flight and date on Delta - Both only had 3 classes listed. I think I would ask FBC what rate code you have and then look up the rate code and rules on Delta sites or just google on it. For mine SFO to EWR on August 5 - FBC Economy 438 Premium Economy 598 First 975 Delta Main (L) 443 Comfort +(W) 603 and First (J) 980 They lined up pretty close with FBC being $5 less on each fare type.
  18. Would you recommend something like Dial 7 Limo as oppose to Lyft and Uber. We are staying at an Airport Hotel so not a long distance and had decent prices of about $50 in the past.
  19. We will have to do that if prices keep going up the QM2 may b cheaper. On our cruise in April/May of 2023 we are doing a TA combined with a Key West cruise, spending a week in Amsterdam and then doing the British Isles cruise ---- will have to check the fares back when they open for booking. I'm hoping as the air industry recovers fares may stabilize or begin dropping in key lanes. Prior to Covid we could fly non-stop to Tokyo, London, Paris and Frankfurt non-stop out of our closer airport San Jose but they all stop the service. BA just announced they are starting to fly SJC to London again which is a good sign.
  20. Agree --- I like to check the luggage and see it makes the connection and loaded aboard.
  21. Nope... Zeniths don't get Special Devilry unless in RS or PS. Unfortunately the ship has been booked heavy an with constant looking was finally able to grab a Sky Suite. I was on a waitlist for 3 months before one opened. Last week about 8 opened up but not much more available. The prices on this cruise are also really HIGH. Sky Suite is about $20,000 ... on the 3rd cruise I was able to get a CS at only 2,000 more but a PH opened up but was a bit steep at $30,000 so passed on it.
  22. Same with most of my cruises that far out. They usually enable it on the website for booking at about 3 months prior to cruise.
  23. Ahh... that may explain. I just didn't want anyone showing up and being denied boarding. I agree that it is very confusing as there are different protocols according to what countries you are sailing from and two. Now we also have a separate one for Cruise Tours that both say not required to be monitored but also says you need a physical or digital copy of the negative test results.
  24. With all the cancellations, I noticed that my flight home from LHR was booked almost a year out and nothing changed from the time I booked. I'm just about to book a home flight from Amsterdam in May of 2023 - Yikes the prices are unreal
  25. Thanks... Our ship will be full also. It's the Summit TA to Greenland/Iceland and has been sold out for 5-6 months but sporadic rooms open up with cancellations. I think I will be plan like you did.
