  1. Anyone have any luck of the offer appearing after adding other offers to the card?
  2. FWIW, I noticed some additional offers pop up today on my card, including Celebrity Cruises. Still no Carnival, but maybe it will be offered in the coming days.
  3. Unfortunately doesn't look like I got it this time. Only seeing an NCL offer ($250).
  4. Great review, thanks for posting! I'll be sailing in the MG early March 2023 with the same itinerary. Looking forward to it.
  5. I occasionally like to watch cruise videos and would like to check them out if you don't mind sharing the couple's YouTube name. Thanks.
  6. I sailed on Horizon at the end of March and didn't notice it being extremely warm throughout the ship (was comfortable as far as I remember). Sounds like the issues started since then.
  7. No worries. The food had a local flavor. I don't remember everything, but some of the items were grilled chicken thighs and legs, yellow rice and beans, chicken lasagna, garden salad, pasta salad, mixed veggies, BBQ meatballs, fried plantains, and some kind of croquet. Hope that helps.
  8. Food options in the MDR or on board in general at different venues? The MDR menu changed daily, however it always had some constant dishes that included grilled chicken breast, Indian vegetarian, and steakhouse selections. I never ordered something that wasn't featured on the menu, but I guess it's possible to order a simple dish that a picky eater will eat. Would probably have to check with the waitstaff or maitre'd to confirm though.
  9. Try BoA card if you have one. I found the same offer there.
  10. Just bumping this thread. Probably a good spot to continue to share credit card offers we come across for Carnival.
  11. I didn't have it on my Chase card, but found it on my BoA card. I've had Carnival offers on Amex cards in the past, but nothing recently.
  12. I found a similar offer on my Bank of America credit card today. $40 cashback on $100 spent.
  13. I know tastes in wine are subjective, however the free bottle (red Santa Helena) was a tough swallow. I made the error of ordering it. If you don't mind paying, I'd suggest ordering a 50% off bottle. Anyways, happy sailing!
  14. FWIW, On our 8 day cruise in March, my wife and I did not buy the drink package but decided to get a drink anytime we wanted, not hold back. It was our way to see if the drink package would be worth it to us in the future. We averaged 5-6 drinks each on sea days, however only 2-4 drinks on board on port days (4 ports). The end result was we saved $150 by not buying the drink package.
  15. I just got back last week from an 8 day Southern Caribbean cruise on Carnival Horizon and figured it might be fun to try this review thing. I'll try to post some of our experiences during this cruise over the next few days, occasionally adding some pictures as well. My wife and I are 30-somethings from Connecticut cruising for the first time since February 2019 (also on Horizon). This was my 7th Carnival cruise, and my wife's 6th. We are pretty easy going, like to lounge around with a drink and relax. We are generally beach people, so when we cruise, beach excursions are usually our first choice. Pre-cruise We did our covid tests on Wednesday at CVS and then uploaded our results to Verifly. We flew in directly from Hartford to Miami on Friday. We arrived around 10:30am so we had all day to enjoy a little bit of Miami. We dropped off our luggage at the Bestern Western Miami Airport North and took an Uber to South Beach. We ate lunch at Havana Vieja Cuban Restaurant (excellent) and then walked the boardwalk at South Beach. We got to the southern end just in time to see Carnival Conquest and Norwegian Pearl leaving port. Very cool experience to see. Later that night, we Ubered to Mayami Mexicantina in Wynwood (also very good) for dinner and drinks and then called it a night. Carnival Sensation, Norwegian Pearl, and Carnival Conquest
