That's strange, charging to sit on the deck. When we were on the serenity area was always packed, it was easier finding somewhere else.

What does it actually say? There is the serenity area, for adults and which is just along from the lido pool. This is or was free to use. Then behind closed doors there is the retreat area which has a charge to use.

I haven't read the Princess forum, but I must have seen your post on here just after you put it up. I was surprised that when I came on the next time it had gone. Although it won't help you with the Princess situation, it's good to hear that P&O would have done things differently. I have recently seen on the other side (the unmentionable, not Princess) that someone had had to isolate in Malta due to Covid (fly cruise) and that P&O had been great with them. I hope your Aunt makes an improvement soon and that things get sorted out better than they have been so far. Best wishes to you and your family.

Yes, I must admit when you were talking about the price the other day, I did check myself. The cabins either side of us are empty then one taken then empty again. If some next to yours are also not taken hopefully the cruise won't be full.

I have heard people talking about upgrading when onboard. I'm just wondering how this works and what prices they charge you at. Do they charge the price at the time you booked, or the current time, or do they have special prices for upgrading onboard.

Why are you trying to book this cruise, I thought you are already going on it. I got that message on my booking form about Covid, insurance and the oxygen over a year ago when I booked.

For the (inside) cabin next door to us it has gone up £400 with an obc offer of coach plus £450. It works out we would save less than £60 per cabin. However I don't know if the 5% loyalty would have come off that price.

Can your t/a who you booked with not change your email address for you? Your loyalty number is on your booking form. Try phoning either early or later as with most phone calls the daytime is always busy and it tails off around tea time or maybe even school time.
