What essentials and fun items do you bring?
Cherful59 replied to Love2cruise-71's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Adapter for multiple USB charging Deck of cards Shampoo/Conditioner Bonine Some over the counter Med products -
For one cruise I had last year, the app would not work, so I switched to my laptop and was able to check in that way. I prefer the app as well to get my check in time and then fill in the rest later on my laptop, but if the app is not working, keep your laptop handy.

St Marteen - Walk to Shops
Cherful59 replied to brenderlou62's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Thanks for the info. I saw your reply and deleted mine. Up to a point I agree with you, but I also have an elderly parent and she could never make that walk which is why I wanted to mention the ferry/water taxi although some have posted it is not in the center of town either. Depending on how many people are with, pushing multiple wheel chairs might not be an option either. Maybe an excursion would be a better option, but they would still need to walk to the buses. Just thoughts. -

Recently diagnosed diabetic
Cherful59 replied to stuckintexas's topic in Royal Caribbean International
@stuckintexas I understand your husband uses insulin so maybe this would not help him at all, but thought I would mention it. My mother was a diet controlled diabetic for years and requested a note from her doctor explaining he condition and asking that she be allowed to bring snacks she prepared herself when she flew, so they would not confiscate what she brought. I don't know if the TSA will still honor a note like this, but you could check with the TSA. She did this after she was delayed in a very small town airport unexpectedly with no food options. Just a thought. Disregard if it is not an option or needed. I am not trying to influence your thoughts in anyway, just making a suggestion. I was on a cruise in January with 2 diabetics at our table and from their discussions they seemed to do well on the cruise. I do know one of them was very active as many have suggested. Enjoy your cruise. -
Keep checking online as well unless you find something else you want or book elsewhere. The one I wanted was sold out, but someone must have cancelled as it became available later and I was able to book it.

Jewel OTS oceanview cabin layout?
Cherful59 replied to craig01020's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I was in 3526 for a Sept 2023 cruise and the head of the bed would have been under the window, but in our case separated to the side as I was with my sister. Edit. I just looked my cabin was in the same spot, just on the other side of the ship. -

I will look forward to your virtual Cruise. I have Freedom and Jewel booked to get my onboard fixes before Wonder, but I am so looking forward to Wonder also, as I have not been on an Oasis class ship in quite a while. Thank you! -

I am booked on Wonder in early 2025, so will be following along as well. I have very much enjoyed your world cruise posts and pictures and will be following along when you rejoin the cruise. Enjoy! -
Yes, from what I have seen on my current cruises, it is 1.5L 12 or 24 bottles.

I sailed on Radiance Aug 2023 in Alaska 3rd deck mid ship. Great trip!!! It is the 3rd time I have sailed on her and just love this ship. No bad smells, food was good, fantastic crew. The ship is older with some wear which is to be expected, but the crew is always working on her cleaning/painting/varnishing. I need to clean and work on thing in my house too, so I would expect it to happen on a ship as well. Someone is always complaining. Don't worry and enjoy your cruise.

@BirdTravels I will be on a family (at least part of it) 4 night cruise June 3, 2024 and can't wait, so I will be following along to get my fix until then. If I remember correctly you gave me some great tips when my sister, mother and I took the Hawaii to Vancouver May 2019 cruise on Radiance. Thank you for posting.

@WrittenOnYourHeart & @TeachInNYC Looking to follow along. I was on Anthem in November for her 1st cruise out of Bayonne after the start up. We were able to move from an inside room to a balcony for the same price which was great and will probably never happen again. It was a wonderful cruise. We spent a lot of time out on that balcony. Beautiful ship. Enjoy your cruise!

First World "problem" (beverage package avoiding)
Cherful59 replied to sadiwest's topic in Royal Caribbean International
@sadiwest If you do not want to carry bottles of water, check out the prices, sizes and # available in the cruise planner and if acceptable to you, order it. I will be waiting in your room. Watch prices as they can fluctuate. -
I agree also.
