  1. According to my now retired CVP they get credit for booking after the cruiser boards. They also get partial credit if they handle a booking that another booked but that one retires. These credits used to work toward covering a future cruise they want to take. That's how a cruise we did together in 2021 was paid for. If they stay long enough then they get a discount on all future cruises & OBC to pass on I think it covers part of her extra OBCs that she passed onto me listed as "Travel Agent Grp Promotion*" * had to go find actual language
  2. My retired one. That flight text was way WAY back in Dec 2021. I can only email my current one. She responds same day, usually in just a few hours. I haven't tried with my new one. Don't need to. Nothing has happened that's SO urgent it has to be handled immediately or within an hour
  3. Until you need to: 1. Have someone change flight back mid cruise 2. Texted CVP as I got off plane in Florida & noticed that NOW my flight home was impossible. Had a new flight by the time I reached the luggage carousel 3. Get a refund sped up (texted CVP bc I was due a $34 refund from Sept 2022 cruise. Obtained 100 OBC instead) 4. 700 canceled flights & I was supposed to arrive in LHR embarkation day / told which airline to RUN DONT WALK TO and made cruise (learned to book a hotel so that won't happen again) 5. Still get "travel group agent OBC" 6. I don't like being on hold. Sorry not my thing I could go on & on but why bother?

  5. I know the article sent out by Cruise Critic says Ketchikan is a port to miss. I couldn't disagree more!! Easy bus ride up to Totem Bight. Free bus ride out to Totem Heritage Center. Honestly it's my favorite Alaska port!!! But I love nature walks at my leisure, and this is the easiest one there. And history that's different from my own. If you want a repeat of what you get in the lower 48, you might not enjoy it. But if you want Alaska you just might love it as much as I do

  7. @MsSoCalCruiser wow that must be frustrating. But at least it's an easy fix for the onboard HW (fixed table for 5: same table / staff / no others at table) since you're willing to accept 5pm.

  9. Personally can't imagine a DMW problem significant enough to bother my CVP (says someone who circumvents that whole issue by just working with the HW)

Had a nonstop home to SFO by the time I reached the luggage carousel. All I sent was a text Last month I got tired of waiting for a $34 refund from a prior cruise. Complained 1× to my new CVP who asked if I would accept 100 refundable OBC instead. 10 minutes later it's on my next cruise. Who do I talk to at a big box?
  11. I've been bugging the heck out of mine today. 2 rebooks, move me to a better room for same price on a 3rd, and check #4+5 to see if i can get that 200 obc (I'm a solo) today. Yes on #4 no on #5. So now 3 of the 5 are credited to her but I've so heard that if 1st CVP d/n complete file to sailing that they both share credit. Maybe thats bc #5 is a perpetually redeployed / pushed back from 11/2020 before my 1st CVP retired So yeah. A new CVP will help prior CVP's & 1800Princess bookings To those who really want to change: 1. Call new CVP and ask if you can use them 2. Send them an email asking them to take over & cc: cruiseplanners@princesscruises.com 3. The new CVP handles it from that point on
  12. I used shore excursion credit in the casino in December 2022. But they also told me that updates to their machines are coming and will prevent me from using OBC there in the future. At that point I might upgrade my standard booking to plus once I board. Until then status quo
  13. Agree. Quite irritating I've never been offered one despite how much I donate to the casino dept. So here's where I'm having trouble relating
  14. JMHO everything else is, unfortunately, irrelevant. But I've read that you need to contact the Princess Casino customer service, 800-355-7636 9am to 5pm Monday - Friday Casinos, not 'regular' customer service. Hopefully the 10 calls were to that # (and I misread). Wishing you a call back. Customer service line is frustrating which is why I leave it up to my CVP to resolve issues (but extending use by dates is something she can no longer do)

    @chubbypiggy I did not know. I found out when I asked how many were left and it was 20+. In that each pkg is only 15 then I think both loaded. Except on Caribbean last month. Went thru 2 a day (10 day cruise) and disembarked with some still on it. But they charge me for every pot of tea. And then I have GSD refund me. They're losing out bc it moves nonrefundable OBC into refundable OBC & I collect cash at the end. Their loss but just 40+ so I guess they don't care

    @chubbypiggyMy recent cruises: Dec 22 : Caribbean Princess Sept 22 : Enchanted Princess June & July 22: Discovery Princess May 22: Ruby Princess Dec 21 : Emerald Aug 21 : Majestic Cruises prior to August 2021 are irrelevant bc everything changed during shutdown. Guess I've cruised alot but this year will be slower. Just April, May, June, November .... I think Not back on for a few months & will also dbl check on that one
  17. Not true if you're near the State Dept. Call 1-877-487-2778 and explain that you are traveling within 14 calendar days and need a same day expedited passport. Easy peasy Like I said: Rafa (Grandson not Nadal) had 11am appt for 1st passport / passport in hand at 1 / on 6pm flight to Paris. The 1-877-487-2778 line will tell you when / where / info to bring / wish MedallionClass app & process was that easy

    @chubbypiggy I have always gotten 2 coffee pkgs and I'm a solo. Once I complete the 1st one, I get the 2nd one EXCEPT on the Enchanted & Discovery Princesses they loaded both at the same time.

  20. I don't know when it is or where you live but Rafa got a same day passport at the State Dept in SF. 11am appt, had it by 1pm, 6pm flight to Paris. I'm tracking my online renewal now. Normally expedited in 3-5 weeks / most in 3. Normal in 6-9 weeks / most in 6. Or so they say. Submitted 1/11/23, received 1/23/23, assigned 1/23/23. Expected 2/16-28/23 needed 4/16/23
  21. Wow!! Guess I'm abnormally lucky again (although she sometimes gives me a new booking#). Don't mind that as long as it comes with more OBC, lower price, same or better room. Right now I've only got 2 not assigned to her & she's straightened both of them out. (Category sold out and priced higher now ... These are holdouts from late 2020)

  23. Oh ... I guess I'm not as easy going. My CVP has it listed that I only want to be contacted before noon (we're both on the Pacific Coast) and email is perfectly fine. She has a huge list but always responds same day Agree with @Steelers36. that's strike 1 & 2 .... 3 strikes they're out
