  1. Effective all sailings Feb 23rd and beyond unless you have Plus or Premiere there is a shipping charge for guests booked under "standard" Was announced when they rolled out new Plus/Premiere Packages with the higher costs and extra added items
  2. @Thrak I'm going to wait and keep trying to see if it ever self corrects, but no way I'm submitting if it says $10. It's not the $$$ it's the principle of the matter. Come to brass tacks I'll call the Medallion UnHelpful desk and get them involved - LOL
  3. yet another "enhancment" for the guests benefit .... spend my vacation time to fight for a $10 credit onboard because IT can't encode app to waive shipping fee....... I bet they are countiong on most folks forgetting and never requesting the credit, or not wanting to wait in line for reception to deal with it.
  4. So I was just monkeying around in the Medallion app for my Novemeber cruise and tried ordering my Medallion to be shipped to my home. It wants to charge me $10.00 for shipping. Mind you it's small change, but I thought one of the perks of me having Princess Plus was supposed to be free Medallion Shipping. Am I missing something here, or is it just another glitch of their "Wonderful" app ....
  5. Europe along with Alaska 2025 will probably be released sometime in October to December of this year, if they hold with past deployment patterns
  6. My best guess - Caribbean and Emerald will both do Panama Canal cruises with Caribbean doing the 10 nt round trip from Ft Lauderdale and Emerald doing the longer one ways between Ft Lauderdale & LA (and reverse). Those are typically released along with Mexico, Pacific Coastal and Hawaii itineraries.
  7. Do you have a link as to where they are actually posted? I tried searching through their recent posts to no avail.
  8. This does not include full or partial Panama Canal transits so most likely is sandwiched between two of those
  9. Sun will most likely sail the Mediterranean in summer 2025, so will reposition mid-March. There are typos on that entire reference flyer. I’m willing to bet that the Suns May 1 & 15 Western Caribbean listing should actually be March 1 & 15. Her March 2 Eastern Caribbean listing is erroneous as well. Someone copied, pasted and did not proofread well methinks
  10. I just booked Enchanted for 11/1/24. “Catch by Rudi” is bookable. Bistro Sur LaMer is gone.
  11. The biggest question is do I get an “Elite” bathroom package discount? Or at the very least a priority queue to poo?
  12. My crystal ball (which is as reliable as an Edsel) says Sabatini's remains as is and Bistro Sur LaMer becomes Rudi’s with little change to the decor, just rebranded. I feel the same about Gigi’s, Salty Dog and Gelato, stay mostly intact with a rebrand. With a large number of guests having the ability to consume at least 2 coma inducing, blood sugar cratering, ice cream concoctions a day I see potential for increased usage of the Gelato space under a new name.
  13. My guess would be sometime in mid to late June of this year if they hold true to years past. It is usually one of the last destinations they announce along with Mexcio, California Coastal and Panama Canal as those cruises typicially do not have as far out of a consumer booking window demand as some other destinations do
  14. Does anyone have new bar menus since the new Plus package with the $15 drink limit went into effect?
  15. I’m booked on Ascent this December, primarily because of my travel companions limited time off capacity. Going forward I’m looking mostly at Viking, Oceania, Azamara and river cruising. Smaller ships nicely situated between mass market and ultra luxury with high standards of food and service as well as interesting itinerary offerings.
  16. My understanding is it is essentially Beyond 2.0, which in my opinion is just fine. Beyond was a nice refinement of the EDGE class and not sure, barring radical retrenchment from the infinite Verandah concept, what more they could tweak. I expect some subtle fabric/finish changes and unique art installions vs her sister but that’s really about it. Beyond finally sold me on EDGE class and I’m booked on the 12/17 Ascent sailing as a result.
  17. @RamblingRoses you seem pleased with the variety of excursion offerings on your previous AMAwaterways sailing. Is there a reason you are looking elsewhere? Unlike ocean cruising where “the ships the thing” the river ships have far fewer differences in their hardware/onboard product. AMA have quite a varied assortment of itineraries to provide consumer with multiple unique travel experiences with them. That said, Avalon does offer a series of departures specifically labeled “Active and Discovery” that mirror many of their standard itineraries. You can find these itineraries on their website when searching by “special interests” and then selecting Active and Discovery. These cruises feature expanded port stops and unique excursions/experiences for those who are looking for more physically demanding, or in depth, exploration of a country or region.
  18. @Jim_Iain I had forgotten about them promoting Edges repositioning to AU/NZ in that manner. Very well could be it!
  19. I’ve seen numerous recent ads with the tag line “journey WonderFull” with images of the global destinations Celebrity sail to, but nothing specifically marketing a world cruise. There was also an ad with a tag line “The World is open” a few years ago, but it was more aspirational and not specific to any one destination and used to show that Celebrity can help you see the world.
  20. without evidence my only guess would be central portion of the rooftop garden. It is the only large open deck area I can think of.
  21. What is current status of Lattes/espresso/cappucino drinks at al Bacio - are those still included in classic package or now only included in premium package? Classic package description no longer mentions them
  22. I tried multiple times the first three days of my Caribbean Princess sailing in December to get through to room service to switch out the mini for beer and water. Could never get through and didn’t fancy spending entire holiday in cabin dialing room service. Crew call in app alway said “no operators available” or some such. Cabin steward and guest services no help - call room service. Total clown show and I gave up. Had the Plus package so in end was not an issue, but it was more the principal. Drank the soft drinks we wanted from the mini and left the rest
  23. To the OP, and anyone else with the same issue? Did you book through a travel agent? If so you reservation may be part of their contract promotional group space which will result in you not being allowed to add FBC on the consumer website, however the travel agency can do it on their end w/o calling. As travel agency promotional group space has special booking terms the flights could go unpaid at final and result in the entire block of rooms cancelling for lack of payment, not just the individual booking. This is the #1 reason you may be encountering this issue.
  24. Also a plus for Many on the Amsterdam-Budapest itinerary is the additional time in Vienna vs sailing the reverse.
  25. OP was asking about 2025, not 2024. 2024 Alaska sailings were opened for bookings last fall. 2025 are not currently available. Glad to know you got the date you actually wanted 👍
