  1. I’ve always felt that if the cruise lines installed a few cubbies or lockers just adjacent to the pools this could cut down on the many guests who use a lounger as a place to store their stuff. Seems such a simple way to alleviate some of the chair hogging.
  2. If passenger volume/ staffing levels are such that only 2 of the 3 MDR can/need to operate then closing Island makes the most sense as Coral/Palm share a common finishing galley on deck 6 and Island has a separate, smaller, finishing galley on deck 5 This would hold true for the entire Princess fleet (excluding Coral/Island) due to the consistent galley / MDR layouts.
  3. Current HAL schedules are only published through late April / early May 2024. Hawaii fall 2023 - spring 2024 are just coming up for booking starting on the 21st of this month. The fall 2024 - spring 2025 sailings for Hawaii will probably not be released for another 10-12 months. Patience grasshopper, patience.
  4. Here’s a link to the “product planner” for these itineraries. Hopefully the link will work for everyone! There’s some nice options in there!!! https://gohal.com/app/uploads/2022/10/HAL_HA-MX-PN23-24_Planner_MX18291_v18.pdf
  5. @skynight called it! Journey view shows formal portraits on days 2 & 7! Thanks to all for the thoughts/suggestions in this thread
  6. Look at the itinerary for the full Grand World Voyage qfor 2024. This is just the portion that starts in Adelaide and ends in Cape Town that will be sold as a stand alone “World Cruise Segment”
  7. mcrcruiser is right mcrcruiser is always right mcrcruiser shall forever be right everyone else’s opinions have now been invalidated there, that should end this debate…….
  8. It sounds like the changes have been primarily on Joy and Bliss. We’re all the cancelled port calls for Puntarenas on the Pacific side or are some for Puerto Limon on the Atlantic side? If all for Puntarenas there could be construction, dredging, tidal issues, lack of available support services (dockworkers or tour operators) the list goes on. Cruise lines rarely drop a port “just because”. There is almost always a legitimate reason for the change, even though it may not be transparent to the consumer.
  9. There have been a number of fall 2022 departures that are waiving the single supplement. This may well be one of those sailings
  10. This is nothing but “Love Island” recycled to a Princess Ship. Utter tripe and not worth me time and effort.
  11. As expected my medallion app is back to “normal” today and only showing my two booked cruises. All the phantom sailings have disappeared. As with most glitches I find things self correct given patience and time, something several boards members could learn methinks.
  12. Princess do not have any ships sailing from Port Everglades until November. Only North American East Coast departures in the next few weeks will be NYC/Quebec for Canada N/E sailings, which may be affected with the aftermath of Fiona with itinerary/port changes.
  13. I promise I am not a Gardner, a farmer or a spy ….. I have planted nothing. That said when the labeled plan was available I did save the pdf version to compare to the “official” ones later to see how closely venue names/uses match up.
  14. I may or may not have a pdf copy stored for perpetuity 🤓 I will neither confirm or deny assertions of having such document in my possession, or not. LOL
  15. Looks like they went in and removed all the labels from the cruisedeckplans site
  16. My new glitch of the day is the app displaying about a 1/2 dozen cruises I put courtesy holds on, and never booked. Still shows my 2 booked cruises however and my previously made dining resides still intact so there’s that at least. Rando AF but will probably self correct within 48hrs.
  17. @seagunthera - Obviously quite a few people are willing to upgrade w/o choosing a specific room as NCL, MSC, Carnival, Royal, Celebrity and now Princess all offer a bid upgrade system. If it wasn’t producing revenue (ie lack of interest) then cruise lines would have abandoned the product offer by now.
  18. As of today I don’t see anything in the Journey View for our December 8th sailing but will keep checking 👍
  19. Cruise deck plans dot com have posted the Sun on their website. Seems they have gotten a preliminary plan with labels on most spaces. Not all space names/details are final of course but it gives a good idea of what we can expect. Overall I am pleased. Curiously there appear to be zero dining venues available on the upper decks, except for the “altitude” restaurant which I assume will be for the suites, or a very pricey specialty dining venue.
  20. Last years deployment announcement was VERY early by Princess standards. A one off really and more to do with revenue generation by getting deposits coming in when the full restart of cruising was still very uncertain. Looking at prior years it’s usually late November/early December
  21. Spring to Fall 2024 Europe and Alaska should be announced late November / early December of this year (2022). That is normal time frame based on last 5-6 years
  22. Somewhere between late November/early December 2023 for Europe 2025 if they remain consistent with past deployment patterns.
  23. @Steelers36 I had assumed the Grand Cayman Day, but u & me know what is contained in "assume" ......
