    The most my wife and I have ever spent on drinks on a 7 day cruise was $300. So I have never purchased the cheers package. I have however purchased the RCL equivalent, but it was for a 3 day and no wife!

    I feel for you. Its sucks when you plan and plan. Then bang it's ruined by something you can't control.

    During the summer months, MSC goes to the same boring ports as the big 3 (Nassau, Cozumel, Jamaica) Nothing exotic, nothing new. It’s one of the reasons I haven’t cruised with them.

    Thanks to @Ralphinsc I think the ocean cabana would be more relaxing. Less noise etc.

    I've never had to wait anywhere near 30 minutes for bar service and I only cruise in the summer months (June and July) and December. Are going to the bar or are you waiting for a waitperson to come by?

    We usually get a "normal" balcony and hang out in the serenity section. Then we discovered the Havana area. We now only book Havana interiors. My wife loves the fact that the pool and Jacuzzis are never crowded. Plus, we love dancing (well she loves dancing) and the Havana bar is right here.
