We just had the Plus, not premium. So you didn't get all you paid for either.

This is because our generation did not teach children patience and manners.

I wouldn't go on cruiselines that didn't have 2 tops simply because my DH & I wanted alone time and didn't want to be rushed. We had no problem sharing tables at breakfast & lunch (and made friends while doing so).

We were on this cruise & were slightly underwhelmed. Many things with the plus package were unavailable when we tried to order them ie, "premium" red velvet cake (when we did get a slice the next day it was probably the worst cake I've ever had, dry & frosting was NOT cream cheese as listed), exercise classes were cancelled, & juice bar was out of ingredients for the juice we wanted. Not fun to pay extra for stuff we can't get. I found Gigi's & Salty Dog gastropub subpar for something that is extra. Bartenders were all wonderful & hard working. Luckily our cabin steward was great ( we were in inside cabin on Dolphin) as were all of our servers in the main dining room.

Did you have the Crab Shack pop up for lunch? If so, how much was it?

We were on NCL awhile back & had their monte cristo at lunch which is usually pretty good. This time it was extremely greasy, probably due to the oil not being hot enough, & we couldn't eat it. I filled out a 'talk to the chef' or something at the front desk. That night after we were seated for dinner the head chef came to our table to apologize.

Interesting. We do about 3 cruises a year out of San Pedro. We get there about 11:45 & they seem to start boarding then.

I ordered from 1800princess last time which was a mistake. Took forever & they did something that made some of my OBC disappear. Real pain to get it back

They let you on at 10:30?

We eat lunch in the dining room every time it is offered. (don't do buffets). I have to say, it's always full & we've even had to wait a few minutes for a table to open up.

So all of the obstructions are from underneath - no lifeboats in front of balconies? I talked my friends into GTY obstructed because it was so much cheaper. I hope I'm right.

Would they charge tax on the plus if you bought it in port before sail away (as some ports charge) ? Also, if you buy it he second day is it prorated?

Interesting. Do you get insurance through Princess? I use a company that you choose how much coverage you want & I never include items that are refundable if I don't go. Also, I didn't know you could add plus when you get on the ship

I think it's because you would have gotten medallion sent for free so if you picked it up at the port they credited you?

I put in the claim around Dec 21 and got a check Jan 24 of last year. The gentleman I dealt with was training a new person at that time.

I has laundry go missing & I'm pretty sure the cabin steward or helper threw it out. It was when they went to brown bags from white. They did reimburse me though I lost a vintage dress from Italy (lesson learned). Interestingly enough, it was the only time I didn't take pictures!

I'm interested as to how Princess is for solos. I usually do NCL when I'm on my own because their solo programs are great. I do LA cruises with husband but I'll do some on my own if you have a good time
