  1. I agree, all the Haven cruises we have done, we have always had good bar service on the sundeck and by the Haven pool. Also, we have no issue walking the 30 seconds to the Haven Bar to grab drinks. I wish Vibe had a small splash pool, because Haven prices have gotten so crazy that wife and I are trying MSC yacht club next cruise in September. Our next NCL cruise will most likely not be in the Haven, so we may opt for Vibe Beach club.
  2. Have Cruised the Breakaway several times out of new orleans. One of our favorite ports to sail out of but our least favorite cruise terminal lol.
  3. We sailed over Easter last year on the Joy out of Miami. The ship was packed but more of families then college spring breakers. We still had a great cruise
  4. We cruised out of 10 January 6th sailing on the Escape. Typically NCL sails out of 10 but things do change sometimes.
  5. Recommend taking an afternoon at the port and go to one of the restaurants that has outside seating and watch the ships sail out. was awesome! also has a good happy hour lol $2 draft beer lol
  6. Honestly, if it would make you feel better, just show up a little early. New Orleans Terminal is horrible. By about 1:30 the terminal should be much better then say 9:30am. New orleans is the worst cruise terminal in my opinion
  7. We stayed at the Best Western Cocoa Beach in January. Now not very warm but was right by the pier and we had an ocean front room which had great views of the beach. Free parking as well and had plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Also if you like to get up early you can watch the Ships line up and pass by heading back into port Canaveral.
  8. Would love for it to be ready by our September 28th sailing on the Seascape, but who knows. If not ready, it is just a terminal lol.
  9. I was actually researching the same thing! We have an inside YC on the Seascape for September of this year. We usually sail in the Haven on NCL but the price for the YC inside was so good we are giving them a try ($3200 all in). I am now looking at booking MSC on the Seashore in Feb 2025 and looked at several categories. Here are the prices Standard Balcony Aurea level with my 10% discount is all in $2109 with the drink package and $100 OBC Jr. Suite with my 10% discount all in was $2310 with drink package and $200 onboard credit. The Grand Suite Aurea (not YC) all in was $2919 with drink package and $200 on board credit The MSC Deluxe YC suite ( no inside available) all in was $5334 with $200 OBC Now, the question for you would be would you utilize the YC that often. Now my wife and I when sailing in the Haven love being there. We would trade off the Balcony for inside YC any day of the week. But since there is no Inside available am I willing to pay almost another $2500 to go from The Grand Suite Aurea to the YC? The answer would be no. We could basically book 2 Grand Suite Aurea for the price of 1 MSC deluxe YC suites. Again, Love the Haven and Sure we will love the YC as well in September, but one of the reasons we are trying the YC is because the inside YC suite is more then half the price cheaper than the cheapest Haven Suite. We are go with the flow people and have cruised all the major lines but our last 5 have been NCL Haven and 1 RCCL Symphony of the seas (standard balcony). Interesting to hear others thoughts.
  10. Cruised Have Several Times and loved it. But Price points have us tying MSC YC. MSC has inside YC suites, since my wife and I really never spend any time in the cabin unless sleeping or getting dressed we opted for the YC inside Suite. For $3200 all in we think this is a great deal. We would always sail Haven but pretty much can get 2 cruises in the YC for the price of one in the Haven. Also the DSC on NCL in the Haven is $25 per day, YC is almost half that. YC includes stocked mini bar as well. We shall see how we like it in September on the Seascape.
  11. Yea, we loved the Joys. Escape was nice but felt a little cramped at times on Sea Days. Trying MSC YC in September, excited to see the Seascapes YC pool Deck.
  12. Sailed the Joy last April and then the Escape in January. I will say, the Joy felt a lot less crowded. Racetrack was fun and as far as lines go you can reserve a time. Joy's Haven Sundeck was also both port and starboard side, but i think that has changed expanding the Vibe Beach club. Spice H2O has alot more shade then the escape as well. Pool deck is a little weird due to it being retrofitted from an asian market to US market. Don't pass on the BBQ restaurant, we went twice during our cruise and it was great food, large portions and some great music (Mostly old school rock and Country) Be aware of the Drop down waterslide, absolutely no jewelry and nothing metal on your bathing suits. But again a lot of fun
  13. I have stayed in the Forward facing Haven, and the walk to the Haven isn't that bad. You are already forward so its simply an elevator ride to the Haven. The extra room is great only down side really is the tiny balcony. Now if I am staying outside the Haven now its always the Aft facing Haven suite. Now it is a long walk to the Haven but the Balcony is Huge, bedroom and living room plus the aft has a 2nd full bathroom! Was amazing on the Joy.
  14. You should be good the morning after, still should be able to get an early arrival time
  15. We live in Bathing suits during the day and at night my wife usually wears sundresses or something a little more formal for the formal night. We will need to bring a garment bag this go around but its not very big. I am assuming suitcases can fit under the bed and the garment bag hangs in the closet.
  16. Anyone have any updates on the terminal? We sail on the Seascape in September hoping it will be completed by then.
  17. Again, I look at the Total cost of the cruise. Wife and I always get a drink package no matter what the cruise line. I will say RCCL is the highest I think I ever paid. I believe it was almost $1200 for the both of us.
  18. We have sailed Haven many times and Trying the YV for the 1st time mainly becaseu of price. Wife and I are never in the Cabin, so we are gving the YV inside a try for only $3200 total. I will say I love the Haven and we have sailed in the Forward facing, Aft Facing and the 2 bedroom Haven suites and they are amazing. But we never spend alot of time in the cabin at all. I think the YC pool ad deck is much nicr then the Haven
  19. We are wanting to try VV but damn, not able to get a drink package is stopping us. The ships look amazing as we really dont care about the ports of call anymore.
  20. My Favorite so fat was the Joy, been on the Escape and Breakaway as well. Joy's SPice H2O has much more covered bar area then the escape. Either way as long as I am on a ship I am happy.
  21. We booked 4 days out when our 9 night NCL out of Port Canaveral got cancelled due to a Hurricane. We ended up on the Symphony of the Seas on a Saturday. The only down side was we could not select our dining time and got stuck with anytime dining which we did not want as we prefer not to have to wait for a table. also as we drive to the port we had to book a hotel last minute for the night before which was an issue as most hotel were booked solid. Ended up staying the pre cruise night by the airport which we always prefer to be across from Biscayne marketplace.
  22. Exactly, We booked the Holiday Inn Downtown for our September cruise. We are staying 3 nights before our sailing, but now I am looking at other places close by, and will just cancell and rebook if we find something better.
  23. So, Cruise bookings across all lines are at an all time high. So if the current offerings are creating this type of demand i do not see the cruise lines changing there offerings. I remember working in las vegas during the financial colapse of 2007. Casinos laid off so many positions and never refilled after the recovery becasue the job could be done with less people.
  24. We will try to go from YIN to balcony but honestly not for a crazy price. Again we got the YIN for our cruise in September on the Seascape for $3200 total. the Balcony was about $5300. So would be willing to spend about another $1k total for the balcony but thats about it.
  25. Honestly My wife and I are pretty much michelpbe ultra drinkers. Would love to know the average price of Beer on board. Also how did you obtain $900 bar tab, for a 7 day voyage looks like you only get $300 per cabin
