  1. When I was there a few weeks ago, mid-day on a Wednesday, the ticket booth was closed. The National Express representatives walking around to answering questions said the booth had been closed for over a year. If the ticket booth is still closed, look for a NE representative wearing a vest.
  2. This happened to me a couple weeks ago on the Emerald. I played it twice on the TV but didn't get the green check mark until I played it on my phone. And it's a long video.
  3. A couple weeks ago on Emerald the fire doors were closed to the cabin corridors. Cabins were ready around noon. I once had guest services hold my bag, and that was suggested on the Emerald as well but I did not partake since I was staying on the ship.
  4. The new occupants of my recently vacated cabin may have a blue bag I left there. I brought it back to tote a few things onboard at embarkation that wouldn't fit in my carry-on only luggage. Don't really need the bags stuffing up my home closet.
  5. Just go home from Walgreen's taking a PCR Covid test, and my phone rings. It's Princess following up on a pre-cruise issue I reported with my internet purchase disappearing from the App. The lady just wanted to make sure everything was OK once on board, and it was. So I ask her about deleting my credit card info from the App. She does a 3-way call with an ocean navigator. He says my credit card info has been deleted and I should be able to see this on the App. I said I couldn't see it there before the call so how would I see it deleted after? He said if you deleted the App the credit card info gets deleted to which I responded that's not the case since my cc info was still there from my prior cruise. I didn't initially realize the first lady was staying on the line, thought she was transferring me, but it's good she heard the whole conversation. I don't feel good and wasn't in the mood for the call, but it's nice that some followed up on the pre-cruise issue. And in the process now she knows I also may have come home from the cruise with Covid (I'm not placing blame). So it's true that Princess might be able to delete the stored credit card info but I wouldn't trust them to actually do so. Frustrating.
  6. Same on Emerald Princess. Those areas were my go to places for a less crowded meal.
  7. Is it possible to delete your account from the App? I really would like to delete my credit card that I know is stored on the App but that's no longer an option after my cruise ended yesterday. I wouldn't mind deleting my account from the App but when I click that it just gives contact info. I was just wondering if anyone's ever had any success in deleting info or account while having no future cruises booked.
  8. I can't answer about the bus but I went on the Princess excursion today and Honfleur was such a cool place! I hope you find a way there! The excursion included a walking tour and about 1.5 hours of free time.
  9. Yes, you can receive the winnings in physical cash. I just did about an hour ago.
  10. From what I've read on CC the past few weeks I expected the internet to be much much slower. I've been able to surf the web, send and receive emails with pictures, and stream YouTube TV. I mainly do this earlier in the morning. I'm on a high, far forward deck on Emerald Princess. Does location on the ship have anything to do with it? I'm closer to the satellite? 🤔 I don't have fancy devices (Android phone and tablet). I do have to remember to swap devices the app for my 1-device plan or the new device will say cannot connect. Also, when I open the app, if it's slow to load, if I close and reopen it seems to load faster the second time.
  11. Read what? Cruise Critic? The OP booked through a third party agency. I booked through a Princess CVP and I wasn't asked. I don't recall the option when booking at princess.com. I only know about the no upgrade thing because of CC.
  12. I've just been to the casino onboard and have the $400 free play I was using in slots. Any winnings from the free play go into "your bank", just like if you were to cash out any regular money at a machine. You then go to the cashier at some point to get the physical cash. What I didn't figure out this first night is how to keep track of the winnings while you're playing. If you press cash out, it will send your winnings to your bank and any unbet free play that was downloaded back to your free play balance. So say you downloaded $10, bet $5 and won $20, then press cash out. The $20 goes to "your bank", and the remaining unbet $5 goes back to your free play balance. Every time you cash out you have to start all over with your PIN. BTW, the freeplay was available at the slot. I had stopped at the cashier first to ask about it and the person pulled out a list of all the passengers with free play. I assume that list was also used for redeeming for chips.
  13. Following up on my own thread: I just boarded Emerald Princess. The MedallionNet that I a couple of weeks ago on the App with the 50% Platinum discount, and disappeared from the App last week, that I called about 5-6 times, is working onboard. I don't know if it would've work anyway or if this is a result of the app update I did this morning.
  14. Thank you for posting your pictures. You inspired me to leave my room at the Moxy and walk over to walk the old walls before heading to the ship. Glad I did.
  15. No ticket counter open at the station. This was the middle of the day. The girl I spoke to sarcastically said they expect you to call and wait for 2 hours for someone to pickup the phone, and she motioned towards the pay phones. It just really surprised me with this being at a huge international airport where not all customers would necessarily have international calling plans, but maybe I'm just the only one who doesn't. The driver didn't charge me extra. I had paid for the ability to take an earlier or later coach but I don't know if he saw that. He was pretty winded by having to load all the luggage himself and it was quite warm even in the shade.
  16. Dropping in to share my experience today, National Express LHR>Southampton: Had pre-purchased a coach ticket for 15:15, hoping to actually make the 14:00. Flight scheduled to arrive @ 12:10 arrived an hour early. With carryon only, made it through immigration pretty quickly and rushed off to Central Bus Station, where I thought there was to be a 12:00 but was actually 12:30. There is not customer service desk open there supposedly since 2021. A nice employee walking around said I'd have to call or ask the driver of the 12:30 coach. I had the $5 change and go add on. My ticket couldn't be amended online. I asked the driver and he told me to to wait until everyone else had boarded. There was a couple who arrived just after me that wanted to take this earlier coach also. The three of us did eventually get on the 12:30. The coach then went to T5 where there were a few people who also were not ticketed for that bus that wanted to go on and were turned away. There may have been a couple of seats but the luggage compartments were packed. In conclusion, it's not easy to change even changeable tickets. If you want to get an earlier coach at T5 you may have to contend with the people who opt on an earlier coach at the Central Bus Station. I'm so glad it's over with.
  17. Today was my turn. From landing at T3 to the Central Bus Station was just under 40 minutes. Carryon only. Those immigration gates were great. Walked right up to one. There are lots of them. I'm glad I'd seen those mentioned here on CC.
  18. During online check in with AA, they ask to reconfirm the passport info but there's also an option to scan the passport barcode to populate the info. Then at the airport I stopped at a kiosk and it had me scan my passport again. I guess they want to make double sure you have your passport.
  19. I'm so happy to say I was just able to check in for my AA flight from the US to London tomorrow, booked through EZ Air, with no problem. I used the AA app to scan my passport. Just posting here for anyone else worried about their check in. Would still like to find out what prevented the OP's check in.
  20. I'd like to know how this works out for you. I'll be checking in tonight for my international AA flight tomorrow, also booked through EZAir. I worry the first and middle names being squished together on the reservation and therefore not matching the separated First, Middle, Last in the API and passport info will be a problem.
  21. Definitely not. If the prepurchase doesn't show up when I board on Thursday I'll be spending time at Guest Services. Maybe it'll all be fine but I have low expectations so I'd like someone to post that they've been through it and it all worked out in the end.
  22. I already purchased on the App at the 50% Platinum discount. A few weeks later it disappeared. Initially I had called to try to purchase with the discount using a gift card but they would not sell it to me at the 50% and I didn't want to go through the whole OBC onboard refund stuff so I just paid on the App and will use the gift card for other stuff. The discount shows on my Travel Summary (50% of the 12-day pricing) but I want it to show on the App like it did for weeks. 🤬
  23. Just bumping this thread up in hopes someone who boarded this weekend will see it and report their experience. I'm still waiting for a callback but I didn't really expect one over the weekend.
