  1. These are the stops on Emerald Mainz – Frankfurt Rüdesheim (B,L,D) Koblenz Ludwigshafen - Heidelberg Rastatt – Baden-Baden Kehl - Strasbourg Breisach - Colmar Basel So more intense stops in that area which I’m hoping would be more interesting and picturesque than theAmsterdam to Koblenz stretch?
  2. Hi Looking at Rhine cruise for next year and would have liked to include Moselle as know that is most scenic but only want a 7 day cruise so options are: Emerald Frankfurt to Basel Scenic Amsterdam to Basel The Emerald one looks better as I think it will be more scenic focusing on that part of the Rhine. AMA have some good Moselle options but a bit too expensive. We have travelled with Scenic before and like their product. Any info on best itinerary would be most appreciated .
  3. I agree, they were excellent unlike the onboard entertainment that was dire 😱
  4. We are 7 miles outside the 50 on our Heathrow transfer and they have charged us £3.87 going and £6,34 coming back, not sure why there is a differential, but does seem rather petty to charge such a small amount anyway
  5. That's what we are taking. Have phoned them and they don't have information as to drop off point so will just have to wait until we board. Might try the train back to ship for the experience
  6. I was thinking about that but you have to get from cruise terminal to a station and then I think you need to change onto a different high speed train to get to Kyoto. But may relook at that thanks
  7. We are off in 4 weeks on our cruise around Japan and our first stop is Osaka where we are getting the transfer to Kyoto. However there are no details as to time and drop off point. We have booked our own tour guide so need to tell them what time and where. Is there anyway we can find this out before we board the ship. Thanks
  8. We are in the Uk and booked with TA and we had to pay 5 months in advance on final payment
  9. sorry saw that you did reply to this earlier in this topic
  10. We are doing the Muse Japan cruise in April 2024 and starting in Tokyo so would appreciate details of your guide as would love to do the food tour as well. Thanks
  11. Any must do or see on our destination stops. Also have 2 nights pre cruise in Tokyo and were thinking of getting the bullet train to somewhere for the experience ?
  12. Oh dear not what I wanted to hear. We are doing our own flights and transfers and having a couple of days pre cruise in Tokyo so hopefully will mitigate the bad transfer bit etc. Must admit our cruise sounds quite good as takes in a lot of the places we quite wanted to see including Kyoto. okyo, Japan 10/04 - At Sea 11/04 08:00 - 23:00 Osaka, Japan 12/04 - At Sea 13/04 08:00 - 18:00 Hiroshima, Japan 14/04 09:00 - 18:00 Fukuoka 15/04 09:00 - 18:00 Busan, South Korea 16/04 08:00 - 19:00 Nagasaki 17/04 08:00 - 17:00 Kagoshima 18/04 - At Sea 19/04 07:00 - Tokyo, Japan
  13. obviously a very disappointing end to your trip, but more importantly how was the cruise? We are doing 9 days Tokyo to tokyo next April so would value your insight into your Japan cruise
  14. If you are a UK resident its all on your NHS app no need for paper
  15. Hi I am looking at Silver Moon departing 9th April so what would be land side odd or even. Also from comments above, I always thought mid ship was best for less rock and roll? Thanks
  16. How many restaurants on Muse would be speciality that you would need to pay for please?
  17. Just found out its on British tv ITV and USA Fox Sports so unless they have those channels it won't be happening
  18. Hi We are due to board Ovation this coming Saturday and some may know there is quite an important football game that my husband and our friends will want to see and I've a feeling that it will be only American sports channels available and now they are out of the World Cup ......... Our other option which may be the safest is to watch it in a bar in Barbados and then board?
  19. Looking at their itinerary, can’t see that there would be a decent enough 10-14 day cruise all around Japan that Silversea and Regent offer
  20. Been wanting to do a Japan cruise for a while and my preferred line would be Seabourn however not in itinerary for 2023 so don’t hold out much hope for 2024 . Next best option would be Silversea I suppose
