  1. Right, so NOT canceling, if Guest 1 No Shows and the others have already boarded, what happens?
  2. As if we needed one, but if we do, there it is!!
  3. Per a previous post, I've sailed when one in our party was a No Show, so I believe I have a good handle on the process. However, if the person who doesn't show up is Passenger #1 and the rate is tied to their Mariner number, does that change anything?
  4. Have had several different types of balcony cabins from deep wraps to shallow standing-room-only, but never a cove balcony because I thought they would be dark and seem like I was in a box looking out. But I have been in an Oceanview on a very low deck and loved being so close to the water. So, that has caused me to really consider a cove balcony. Rather than just saying you like or don't like them, can you share specifics of what you like and don't like? Very hard to make a decision on such a subjective thing. All comments are welcome and thanks! Oh, and no, we don't do crazy things that would cause us to want to "fall" off and will not have children to worry about.
  5. We'll be doing the same in Sept - hoping it works.
  6. I'm not able to help, but wanted to say nice collection. Best wishes on finding the one you need.
  7. Will be doing this next cruise. 4* and just learned this is an option. Always happy to learn something new and enhance my cruising experience!
  8. @Colorado Klutch Welcome to HAL! Unfortunately HAL does not have a full nonline store, so other than sites like eBay or other 3rd party sites, you'll need to buy your swag onboard. Agree with @OlsSalt that eBay has a lot of HAL items. I feel your pain on the broken lid - similar situation and the one I found on eBay did not fit.
  9. Aligned that it works exactly as @Horizon chaser 1957 described - just click the "disconnect other device" button and you're good to go. Enjoy your cruise!
  10. We wanted to do this during recent Feb cruise, but unfortunately Bonaire was canceled. Happy to hear you recommend it and will try again next time Bonaire is on the itinerary.
  11. So excited to see how your journey goes - happily following along. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  12. @MisterMatthew THANK YOU so much for sharing your adventure with us. And for changing that pesky font and taking the time to repost the first couple days so we could fully tag along πŸ’ Alaska is awesome - you certainly captured it well! Thanks again and welcome home.
  13. Hey @Eaglecw if you show up at the pier at 11:30, they will let you check in so long as they've cleared disembarking passengers (which they should have by that time). The question will be if they will make you wait until your group or let you get on. So, regardless, you will be allowed in the terminal. Our flight was early, so early the transfer shuttles were not running yet. We were on the 1st one, waited outside the terminal while returning passengers finished disembarking, checked in, waited just a bit until they started calling for people to board, and went on. We had dropped our bags at our cabin (which was not yet ready), finished Mariners lunch and were enjoying wine on our balcony before our scheduled boarding time πŸ€— My boarding pass showed 1:20, group B but my husband's didn't show one at all. We received no pushback when we joined the line after the Mariners. This was Seattle April 29. Welcome to HAL - enjoy your cruise! Please update as to the outcome - I'm sure many of us are curious to know what happened.
  14. Depends on how they're handling boarding that day and which port. Lately, they just let you go through and board without waiting, but sometimes they want you to wait until your group. You will go through check in first, the waiting will be in the boarding area after check-in and security. We have recently boarded in Seattle, Ft Lauderdale and San Diego, so my experience involves those ports.
  15. May is typically cooler and rainier, so as you get further into the season it does warm up some. As DeniseT said, AK weather is unpredictable so layers are recommended. And it is a temp rain forest...
  16. Now I "need" a drink. Friday and it's 5:00 somewhere!!πŸΈπŸΉπŸ·πŸ»πŸ§‰πŸ₯€πŸ§ƒπŸΈ
  17. Wow - you saw a lot in an hour! Seems to have been worth a 20 min wait.
  18. Looks like the bridge over Lake Pontchartrain - longest bridge in Louisiana, lol
  19. We had that once on our balcony; it wasn't pretty but didn't interfere with balcony space as it was at the end. I might have felt differently had it been in the middle, but other than adjusting some shots to be sure we didn't capture it in pictures, it didn't bother us. We would have been sad to miss out on that Neptune wrap suite for the week.
  20. Maybe they meant to mark out that Costa logo and replace it w/Carnival funnel. Could be cause of any slow crew responses - they gotta go find the Costa crew and bring them back on board.
  21. @Liskap room service will make substitutions so long as what you want is available. You might reach out to the accessibility department and see if they can answer your questions. Enjoy your cruise!
