  1. I filled it out and I care. I would like my $200. And I'm guessing it matters to the original post in this thread. And others.
  2. No. There really isn't any front facing views on Virgin unless you have access to Richard's Rooftop which, even then it is outside and obscured.
  3. VERY firm. My mattress on Scarlet was too firm; wish I had known about the toppers. I didn't sleep well. Resilient Lady was a bit better. Not sure why the difference.
  4. As someone based in Seattle, I would love to see this. Yesterday I did a 24 hour hold on a good deal on the Brilliant Lady Mermaiden Voyage out of Miami. Only problem is airfare adds another $1k. Suddenly it is much harder to justify.
  5. I am trying a few but not seeing the bar tab included even on the dates that are advertised. Anyone having any luck with getting it? EDIT: Now I am seeing it. Looks like one of the sailings I'm interested in includes $300 Bar Tab. Plus $100 for Deep Blue Extras. Not sure I could spend $400 on drinks for a 5 night cruise 🤢
  6. I've been on two Virgin Voyages and Gunbae is the only restaurant I haven't tried (well, and also the Sun Club Cafe). Being a solo traveler; it just doesn't appeal to me. The only way it would be attractive to me is if I was sailing with 5 others so we could have our own table. Dining that close with others in a forced interactive mode doesn't appeal to me.
  7. I am looking at using a My Next Virgin Voyage deposit on the Brilliant Lady maiden voyage. However, I am wondering what happens if it gets cancelled because of a delay in the ship delivery? Any ideas or historical data on what happens if you use a MNVV and then the sailing is cancelled? Thanks!
  8. How do you see your offers online at all? Do you just log in to your account and search for cruises? Or is there a spot where they show up? I'm new to Holland America and just on my first cruise with them.
  9. I am sailing tomorrow and applied today for AARP addition and was approved immediately. I'd say there is about a less than 0.001% chance I get the OBC 😉
  10. I am taking the Greek Island Glow in August and have been hearing about a lot of evacuations on Rhodes. Have there been changes to current itineraries to avoid Rhodes?
  11. The shower looks like some space is taken up by the fold down seat; but I think it is a worthwhile trade off for the larger balcony and additional window.
  12. I'm reading that the port union strike specifically excludes any impact to cruises. Maybe NCL is just being overly cautious with their warning...
  13. Thanks for posting this. I am going to be embarking that day on the Spirit so I'm guessing we will be delayed getting on the ship if you all are delayed getting off.
  14. Yeah, NCL has it listed as $69. I'm guessing that the port charges the cruise line $20 or so per person, so in order for NCL to make money after the $50 Free at Sea credit, they raised it to $69. I'm still not convinced it is worth $19 to go up the Gondola. Maybe I'll wait and see what the weather is like.
  15. I thought the Gondola cost $50? Is there a free (shorter) one?
  16. The port area at Taino Bay is basically brand new and right off the ship. They have a lazy river and lots of bars and restaurants. I believe the pool area is free. I saw a lot of the Happenings cast hanging out there. It is right on the bay but no ocean swimming -- it's a large rock shore (see photo below). I did the cable car excursion just because I didn't know what else would be offered. We also stopped in the "town" which was just a tourist trap to be honest. It was all skippable. Some others I spoke to did the beaches but nothing really too exciting from the sounds of it.
  17. I booked a land based casino offer. Was able to upgrade to a balcony, HIA, and CO.
  18. I'm nervous; my cabin is just below the gym. Sounds like people start working out early. I guess I'll bring some ear plugs.
  19. @Seas2mountains Looking forward to following along. I'll be on the Spirit from Vancouver to Seward on the next sailing (July 5). I am curious how the embarkation/boarding process goes tomorrow; please report back. I'm planning on arriving around 1:30 so I hopefully won't have to wait in as long a line to board.
