Gluten Free (Celiac) on the Vista - how spartan will this be?

Are you on their celiac cruise in October 2025? If not, perhaps that would be better. -
R is the class of ship. It would be Regatta, Insignia, Sirena and Nautica.

Reservations for speciality restaurant - how far in advance?
EJL2023 replied to BillK400's topic in Oceania Cruises
Perhaps on a Grand Voyage it may also depend on the stateroom and length of cruise? For example on a 20 day Grand Voyage in a PH on the O and A classes, you are entitled to 2 per speciality restaurant. So in that scenario, it would seem to indicate even though it could have been purchased a b2b….you can make all of your reservations for entire cruise when your date arrives. -
Per our letter if happens after final payment, at their discretion it is SBC, FCC or stateroom upgrade. This is in letter we received from a booking onboard in February.
-
They usually have a person set up on embarkation day that all they handle are drink package purchases (for those still traveling pre SM) or upgrades.
-
I believe they embark in Stockholm and they would like it to enjoy while on their cruise.
-
Actually I see where Fincantieri does have a major shipyard in Palermo.
-
I see Marina is in Palermo now per Cruisemapper. Would they be doing the retrofit there? I was thinking most likely Genoa. But the days are numbered to be retrofitted and to Barcelona for May 18th cruise. With this few of days can see why they were not able to do the major refit for verandah staterooms also.
-
We had this happen when we would save also, but this was when we would use O reps to book. Once we started using a TA, we no longer get the calls if we save a cruise.
-
I am now seeing it pop up with that version on some itineraries but not on others. So seems hit and miss which deck plan is coming up during the booking process. Another Oceania system glitch….seemed more prevalent on 2026 cruises but I did see it on a late 2025 cruise too.

Dressing up for dinner aboard the Nautica?

It’s ok….no research needed. I’ll take your word for it. Hey, all I know is if I feel like wearing a nice dressy pair of jeans to dinner, I will…. -

Ok…but not sure what that has to do with Oceania. -
Dressing up for dinner aboard the Nautica?

Well was my understanding that the update in the FAQ dated then was when the wording allowing non casual jeans in the evening was added. If been allowed for years then just amazing some seem still hung up on it. I do know when we took our first Oceania cruise in 2017 it did not have the wording allowing for any type of jeans in the evening. -

Well the time could make a difference as they updated their dress code to allow non casual jeans in the evening in July, 2022. -

When was this? -
That is interesting. Not really sure though it would only show for those particular staterooms. I could see on Riveria as they updated all the veranda staterooms and left some with both tub and shower, but they are not retrofitting the veranda stateroom bathrooms on Marina so they would all still have the separate tub and shower I would think. Unless I am totally missing something.

Perhaps if he is wearing fashionable shirts and on trend shoes he is wearing non casual/dressy jeans??? -

I guess most people who receive the current items that don’t hang out on CC and enjoy getting them would not be happy and stomp down to main desk to complain wildly.
-
Heck, I’d say CC reading 24/7 is probably bad for both your physical and mental health, especially the latter! 😉

We booked a cruise while onboard in February. The letter included with the booking states we can use the one time change to roll deposit to a new booking as long as at least 181 days from the sail date.

Per the various hop on, hop off sites there appears to be one in each city. Oslo and Bergen have stops at the cruise terminals. The Kristiansand site states they will also pick you up at the cruise terminal, but sounds as if you may need to make special arrangements for that aspect, BUT in another paragraph it states it starts at the cruise terminal and start and end times are based upon cruise ship schedule. 🤷🏻♂️
-
Per the Hop On Hop Off site there is one in Oslo…there is a stop right outside the cruise terminal making it a 5 minute walk from the ships to the bus. Stated entire loop takes about 90 minutes.

Good point on sooner rather than later.
