  1. The bashing thread……or the bashing website??? I’m going mostly with the latter. I’m truly amazed at the things people worry about…not sure how they could possibly enjoy a cruise…..or anything……
  2. We were in Stockholm to start a cruise. The pier was quite a distance from central city. We were there a couple days before and actually used the Hop on Hop off bus to get around…worked out well as we had a stop right in front of our hotel. We loved the Vasa Museum. We passed on the ABBA museum….quite literally on the HOHO bus! Long story, but we ended up taking the HOHO bus to the port and the driver drove us right up to the ship instead of the usual port HOHO stop. lol
  3. Ok….so yes you can make both reservations at each of the two specialty restaurants when you are available to do so at 60 days out.
  4. There is also a several page thread on here started in April, 2023 called Oceania Specialty Restaurant reservations. I’d recommend reading through it for much more information on the topic and various tips.
  5. 1) You can make them online when in your account on Oceania website at 12:01 est the date they are available. 2) I believe on all ships the answer is yes, most definelty on the O and A classes..someone else may remark on the R class ships.
  6. Sounds like a great start…no boardamania. Hmmmm. With regard to no updates at all in the Concierge stateroom….that is really not surprising to me. I had mentioned in another thread on Marina refit that in their statement that Oceania put out on 12/8 (which is still on their website) that they made zero reference to any stateroom updates to anything below the penthouse.
  7. Honestly I get better results using google. For example if you are wondering about the PH suite on Vista….try googling ‘cruise critic Oceania vista penthouse’. This manner seems to work best for me. Obviously not foolproof for all….also with regard to a specific ship search threads for that specific ship on here and then go through the pages. If not ship specific I’d recommend the google manner. Just what seems to work best for me.
  8. There is already another thread on this topic which is fairly recent. ‘Big Brother is watching’
  9. Are you really sure it was same amount of time???? Last cruise ended I believe on 4/28 and starts 5/18…..approximately 20 days. There is a thread here on CC with regard to the Riviera refit. The first post in the thread is a photo of it in dry dock in Marseille and that is dated 11/9/22. The first cruise after its refit was 12/7/22….so around 28/29 days….would assume a lot of extra refit could be done in those extra 8/9 days.
  10. This is the way it worked for us on a January cruise.
  11. Get a PDF version sent to you by either your TA, or contact Oceania directly and request if no TA.
  12. Per Cruisemapper, Marina has left Palermo and headed to Barcelona for its first post refit cruise to start 5/18.
  13. Perhaps they gave you the price of the A2 at the price it was when you booked the A3 originally since you were upgrading? I know this happened to us before….we upgraded and we received the upgraded stateroom at the price it was when we had originally booked the cruise and the prices had already increased.
  14. I believe will be 2 per specialty restaurant regardless. Per the FAQ on their website….for PH on Marina….17 days or less 1 per specialty…18 days or more 2 per specialty. So the b2b, each segment would only be 1 or 2 total for both segments. Again, the way I am reading it.
  15. The only article I’ve seen was in Travel Market Report from 09/23. In that article, Del Rio advised that all the fleet would be upgraded to Starlink by the end of 2024. It was pretty generic and did not include any other specifics such as specific dates for each ship. So who knows…..dates do have a tendency to get pushed out.
  16. In your opinion as you noted. I just found it interesting that you picked the one somewhat negative mention from the post. IMO…..many do that here. The poster felt food and overall value better on Oceania. Perhaps they felt SS service was superior and Oceania was excellent. So with Oceania food and value being much better to the poster, to them that meant Oceania service good enough to justify selecting O over SS. Having seen many of the posters posts I know they will still most likely focus on itinerary and overall value on a pp per day basis. Perhaps the poster will clarify. But IMO….just seems like a response along the lines of “seems like you have a definite preference after several cruises on both lines”. Again, just my opinion.
  17. Or perhaps the O food is definitely better part of the post outweighs the service part. Personally, I know it would for me.
  18. Hopefully once Final Paymemt gets there will be some movement, but with the rather limited supply in the FB category….who knows. 🤞🏻. And I agree, not sure why they wouldn’t have at least asked on need for accessibility room or not.
  19. If you are eligible for check in, it should be in your online account when you download Booked Cruises. There will be a box indicating Online Check In ……once you are eligible, it will be activated and you would simply click on it to start the process.
  20. I think the problem is they will be gone more than a month prior to the election and as I understand it, Ohio does not send out Mail In Ballots until 29 days prior to the election.
  21. No, coming out of dry dock on the 18th when the first cruise after refurbishment starts. Been in Palermo dry dock since around 4/30.
  22. When does your cruise depart?
  23. And how could I have forgotten the email to watch the safety video around 3 days prior to sail date and the reminders to do it even after you have already watched it several times.
